63 The Finale of the tournament. (1/2)

Anyway, there was 6 contestants left,being Me,Momo,Hashirama,Hayama,Yukihira and Kurokiba Ryou.

I was against Kurokiba Ryou,Momo against Hayama and Hashirama against Yukihira.

When Yukihira realized who he was up against,he was nervous as he knew that Hashirama would be a tough opponent.

Whereas on the other hand,Ryou and Hayama were tense as they knew that we weren't easy opponents but weren't as nervous as Soma as they didn't know our skills.

Yukihira wished my opponent good luck as he knew there was no where I was going to lose.

With that,our matches started!As the Shokugeki started,we started cooking.The theme given was seafood,which was to Kurokiba Ryou's favor.

I didn't mind as I was confidant in my seafood cooking skills due to me practicing with the used of my Kamui dimension which gave me more time to find a dish that I could make with confidence.

I prepared salmon and other seafood to make sushi.(I'm confused whether Sushi is considered seafood or not.Quora says it is tho.)

It took some time for my dish to be finished but when I was done,I felt satisfaction.When I bought it to the judges,you could almost see them drooling when they looked at my Sushi.

I prepared some Wasabi and Soy sauce for them to dip the sushi in so that the taste would be enhanced.

The first Sushi I made had Smoked Salmon as a topping with the rice made with my special vinegar.

The vinegar was specially made to boost the taste of the dish by allowing the rice to be more aromatic yet not too overwhelming at the same time.

The taste was great,a somewhat bittersweet after taste would linger around after trying it.

As the judges gulp in anticipation,they finally couldn't resist anymore and used their chopsticks to pick up one and try it.

The salmon that I bought was fresh and of superior quality guaranteed by the system.Although I could probably find some good fish outside,I wanted to use the best quality I could as it could affect the taste of the dish.

Anyway,after the judges felt euphoria from my Sushi,it was time for Kurokiba Ryou to serve his dish.

It was a variety of ramen with seafood.There was salmon,abalone and other seafood inside which I found surprising.

Though,from looking at that dish,I could tell that it was abnormal and had something hidden in it.

As the judges tasted it,they started discussing and thinking whose dish was superior.

In the end,I won.Not unanimously but I still did.Kurokiba asked for a taste of my dish which I accepted for a taste of his.

The soup for his ramen was rich with flavours.You could taste the spices in it which alleviate some of the overpowering seafood taste.

As Kurokiba Ryou tasted my Sushi,his eyes widened in surprise as he wondered how I made such a dish.

With that said,our Shokugeki ends.As I started walking back to the dormitory,I found Momo and Hashirama outside.

Momo won but Hashirama lost.This was slightly due to her not grasping the topic well enough.

She wasn't disheartened as she was doing this for fun.We still encouraged her though,saying she did well.

With that,the day ended on a good note.Upon the sun rays shining through the curtains,I woke up.There was still time before the start of the final round.

The final round will be starting in 30 minutes so I stood up and cleaned up before arriving at the venue.The main theme of the three way final was:”Rice”.

It was admittedly simple,yet was a mental battle of wits as this was obviously meant to test us.

It could be seen as me,Momo and Yukihira were wondering what to make.We didn't mind telling each other what we were making as we knew that even if each other knew,there would be no real problems as it really didn't matter much.

So we wondered together what we should make.Yukihira seemed to figure out what he had wanted to make and so dis Momo.
