s.h.i.+zuru said it with a bitter smile, pulled out his face, and wiped Mary's cheek again.

He wiped the blood stain that has been faintly dissolved by saliva several times, until only pure white skin remained there. s.h.i.+zuru nodded with satisfaction and stood up slowly.

” …… I see.”

She said it as her eyes started become teary, and her smile blurred from her face. s.h.i.+zuru looked at Mary with a sad smile, and hugged her gently.

”You did your best. But from now on, it's okay to just kill one person. Mary is a good girl, a clever girl, so I'm sure you understand.”

”Ueh? Eh? Um um….. Then……stew, please make it, again……”

”Yup…… The dishes mother makes are warm and I like them all…… but I like stew the most.”

And so Mary was fawning, s.h.i.+zuru was pampering her, and Ludmilla was looking from the sideline. Lady jumped in from out of nowhere, as if she just appearing from the night, and quietly approached those three.

”――Dear. I have finished the post-treatment of the target.”

The one who dealt with the scattered corpses Mary left behind… was Lady. s.h.i.+zuru put his hand on her approaching face, and stroked her.

”Thanks Lady. You saved me as always.”

”I think she won't get attached to anyone other than s.h.i.+zuru anyways.”

…… However. How could she get attached to Beth who the most unapproachable after Casca?

It was quite a mystery.

TN: The ”Human's emotion” was written with 喜怒哀楽(Kidoairaku), composed of 喜(Joy), 怒(Anger), 哀(Sorrow), 楽(Ease/comfort). s.h.i.+zuru is lacking the 怒(Anger) part.
