82 Are you an evil witch? (1/2)

Creepy Eyes composes herself, despite being locked on the spot by the king's will alone. She never got caught in the past. After her creator was killed by a god, no powerful being ever captured her again. She's pretty discreet. When did the king find out about her?

The king looks at her with emotionless eyes. ”The only reason why you still exist is that you are Fu Mian's friend. I have noticed that you are acting as a spy. Should I take care of these eyes that dare to spy on this king?”

Creepy Eyes is watery, begging. ”King, mercy! The princess asked me to do it. I will never do it again. Mercy! Mercy!”

A few cracks appear in Creepy's pupils. She tries to scream, but there's no sound. The cracks cover those two eyes, turning them inky black. There's only fear and pain emanating from Creepy. Huang Qiuyan covers her mouth, afraid and wanting to get away; however, she's unable to move due to the pressure in the air.

”Don't appear in front of Fu Mian before your eyes fix itself.” Fu Sheng growls at her. ”If you cross your limits again, I will wipe your existence. Do you hear me, vile creature?”

”My King, I will never do it again,” Creepy promises with a pained voice before disappearing from the floor.

Fu Sheng turns his gaze to the small figure sitting against the wall with a horrified face. She's afraid of him. He doesn't care anymore. In the past, he might have thought for a second or two about the effect that he has on her. It doesn't matter now. He doesn't want to treat her as his true mate. The more distance they have, the better it is. It's even better if she keeps showing that fearful expression. He won't bother about changing her mind.

But did she has to scream that loudly though? It was just a miserable sentient being without a master? He wouldn't have rushed here if she didn't scream madly.

What is she doing in this area of the castle? This is too far from the place allotted to her. Why can't his people do one thing right? They only have to keep her out of his sight. She's only a convert, not even a month old in her vampire life. She's not sharp either. Why can't they manage a single woman? An idiotic sentient creature manages to make her scream like the hunters have invaded the castle. She even fell to her darkness twice under their care.

”Can you find your way back to your room?” He keeps his face expressionless. He hasn't received a moment of sleep. There's a council to deal with. The hunters must have contacted the council after they left. The council have been unable to control the situation in the outside world. He hasn't responded to their message. He can't trust the council and the hunters. His people's safety comes first.

'If you push me away, I will never touch you.'

Huang Qiuyan stands up again, leaning on the wall to support herself. She has noticed his reluctance. He is keeping his words. ”I think that I can go by myself.”

He raises his chin slightly. ”Go then.”
