”Fu Sheng.” She grinds her teeth. ”You don't have to think of me as your burden and duty. I will break the bond. I already know how to do it. When that happens, you will be freed from this bond. You won't die if I die.”

She lived her entire human life as a burden to her family. She has no intention of living an eternity as a burden to this vampire king.

Fu Sheng frowns at her. ”Where did you hear that breaking the bond is possible?”

She relaxes her shoulders and looks at him with a smile on her lips. She's upset. She's always a burden. Now, she's a duty. What else she will be in the future?

”I have my sources. It's not possible in this world. There's a god in a different world who can break the bond between two unwilling individuals.
