134 Not someone who understands words (1/2)
Fu Mian tosses and turns on the bed. She can't sleep. She is worried about her mother and father.
Her father did not make any promise to her. Is he going to kill her mother because her mother went mad? She believes in her father. He won't harm her mother.
She sits up, taking deep breaths. Her forehead creases with worry and fear. She still wants to make sure. Who will help her? Pretty Eyes isn't coming here anymore. Her uncles won't tell her anything. Uncle Klyn would have helped her, but he's not in the castle.
Xiao Chun Dan pushes the door and comes into the room. ”Fu Mian, are you awake?”
”Uncle Dan.” Fu Mian's face becomes bright. She climbs off the bed and runs to him. ”Did Daddy hurt Mommy?”
”No.” Xiao Chun Dan scrutinises her with a tint of guilt in his eyes. ”Fu Mian, do you want to see your Mother?”
Fu Mian widens her round eyes. ”Can I see her?”
”I can take you to her.” Xiao Chun Dan takes a deep breath. ”But you must always listen to me. Whatever happens, you must not do anything against my words. I need your blind trust. I promise that I will keep you safe. Nothing will hurt you. I will keep a watch over you even if you feel that you are alone. But keep this a secret between us.”
Fu Mian can't understand his words. Why is he saying stuff like this? But Xiao Chun Dan has gained her trust. She holds his hand. ”I will keep this a secret between us.”
”Let's go.” Xiao Chun Dan feels a pang in his heart when he sees her smiling at him. But this must be done. He made a deal with Li Dai Yu.
”She's waiting for you.”

”No.” Fu Sheng huffs at her. ”I will bring Huang Qiuyan without your help.”
”Then, watch Huang Qiuyan die.” Li Dai Yu crosses her arms and glares at him. ”You still think that you love Huang Qiuyan. How long will you lie? I can see through you. You are a king first. Then, you are a father. Then, you are a mate to Huang Qiuyan. Love is not your priority. Even without her, you can be happy.”
”That's not true.” Fu Sheng's eyes flash red. Only he knows how painful it is to see her like this. He can destroy this person in a second. ”I don't want to see you. I am asking you. Go back to where you came from.”
”I told you to choose between Huang Qiuyan and Fu Mian.” Li Dai Yu chuckles. ”But you keep whining like a little boy. Vampire King, I assume that you chose Fu Mian over Huang Qiuyan again. Now, I feel so sad for her. Even her true mate thinks nothing of her. I have relayed your choice to her. She will fall deeper into sleep. You are making things easier for me.”
