155 After love blooms and hope returns (1/2)
Sitting beside her, Fu Sheng doesn't know when he dozed off. When he opens his eyes, he finds himself standing in front of Huang Qiuyan in the middle of a forest. He blinks his eyes.
”Is this a dream?”
”Maybe.” She tilts her head and smiles at him. ”Do you want it to be a dream?”
”I don't care.” He cups her face and looks into her eyes. ”You are my Huang Qiuyan.”
She chuckles. ”Who else would I be?”
”I am mad at you.” Fu Sheng scowls at her. ”Why did you do something dangerous when your body was already in that condition?”
”It was a now or never moment.” She wraps her arms around his waist and leans on him. ”Fu Sheng, your voice reached me.”
He stares at her. ”Did Li Dai Yu disappear?”
”No.” She smirks at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes, ”Do you want her now?”
”I am fine with either of you.” He looks side-ways and coughs. ”Either one is fine.”
Huang Qiuyan laughs. The sound of her laughter makes him blush. The king clears his throat. ”You are having fun, aren't you?”
”It was nice watching a king getting flustered because of me.” Huang Qiuyan steps to her right, moving into his line of sight. ”Say it now.”
”What?” He looks up in the sky, trying to avoid her smiling eyes. She has cornered him here. His queen is up to no good.
”How much you love me?” Huang Qiuyan raises her finger. ”If you want to give me flowers, you can find plenty of them here. Do you know that Li Dai Yu stole one of the flowers that you gave her and put them here?”
”Did she?” He steps backwards, thinking of ways to change the topic. ”Show me.”
”You even seduced my other self,” Huang Qiuyan grumbles, feeling upset. ”Why I am easily seduced by you all the time?”
”I only like seducing you.” He smiles at her, feeling delighted after seeing the familiar sullen look on her face. ”When you wake up, I will seduce you every day for the rest of our eternity.”
She raises her brow. ”I won't get seduced before you tell me how much you love me. Fu Sheng, I won't compromise in that area. Learn to say romantic words while I am still asleep.”
”Romantic…” Fu Sheng scratches his head. ”Should I bring flowers to you every day?”
”Ask Xiao Chun Dan. He will come up with countless ways to do romantic things.” Huang Qiuyan walks ahead of him with a smile. ”Taking a walk through the forest is also romantic.”
He jogs toward her and grasps her hand. ”How about you say it to me?”
”I am a little traditional.” Huang Qiuyan clicks her tongue, both amused and annoyed. ”Men should do it first.”
”I have done it plenty of times.” Fu Sheng replies, feeling wronged. ”You said that you heard it.”
”That's all?” Fu Sheng is surprised to hear that. ”But we can't have a human wedding.”
”Let's go with a vampire one then.” They reach a large pond. In the middle of the pond, there's a small ground. In that small ground, there's a small camellia plant, carrying small flower buds waiting to bloom. ”When they bloom, I will wake up.”
”How long will it take?” He asks her.
”The moon guardian told me that I would wake up after love blooms and hope returns.” Huang Qiuyan lets out a laugh. ”I didn't expect to hear her voice.”
”When did she… Ah…” Fu Sheng closes his eyes and sighs. The moon guardian didn't leave because she was already working on the miracles before he even asked for it. ”She should have told me.”
