Shannon takes a deep breath. She is the only human in this meeting -- only a human who doesn't have a magical or spiritual background -- and only one who is seated on this row. On the opposite side, there are people. She doesn't know what else to call them. For sure, they aren't human.

[On the centre, the phoenix is seated.]

”Phoenix?” Shannon mutters, eyeing the tall and slim woman with flaming eyes. A shudder runs down her spine. Even though there's a distance between her and that woman, she can sense a strange pressure in the air. ”A real phoenix?”

[Yes, she is the last one -- and you shouldn't offend her by staring into her eyes. Look away, Shannon.]

She follows Pi's advice. Shannon turns her gaze toward the woman sitting next to the phoenix. The woman looks human and Asian, but she has bright blue eyes.

[Sayuri Nakashima. She shouldn't be here, but I guess that nobody can say no to the phoenix.]

”Is she a human?” Shannon isn't used to talking to the system in her head. She whispers while keeping a pamphlet in front of her lips, ”Sayuri Nakashima is a human name.”

[She is human, but she is married to a demon.]

”...” Is there anyone normal here? Why is she getting nervous? She isn't normal either. There's something talking inside her brain. Normalcy is abnormal now.

[You are right. It's better if you accept it fast.]

Shannon leans back in her seat, keeping her eyes fixed on the entrance. Pi introduces them one by one in her head.

[That's the demonic goddess, Fang Aisa. She is Sung Nami's mother. Her mother killed several newborns and owned a cult that worshipped the god of death.]

Shannon exhales.

[That's her husband, Sung Jun. He recently achieved the rank of the great saint -- the only one who came back to the mortal world. He has nine demon sons and a daughter who is 99% human, with his wife, Fang Aisa.]

Sung Nami's family is quite interesting.

[That's Benjamin, a dwarf who is the head of the free fae who lives on earth. He is also an advocate.]

She shakes her head. This is giving her a headache. Pi doesn't stop talking though.

[That's the king of the vampire.]

Shannon looks at the beautiful man with an extraordinary aura. There's something dangerous about him. She had seen vampires in her lifetime, but none of them was as beautiful as him. He doesn't look like a maniac who is out for blood or flesh.
