When Yu Lili heard that word, she felt a warmth bloom in her heart. This was the first time, apart from Ou Ming, that someone said something like that to her.

After being bullied, if there was an individual who willingly stepped forward to avenge you and help you extract payback, how close would the relationship between the individual and you have to be? Relatives? Family?

This old lady was neither, yet she treated her so well. Was it solely because she liked her?

If she went on her own, it was likely that Jiao Ziqing would not even allow her past the door. Bringing along this old lady, who was the matriarch of their in-laws, might yield a different result.

When the old lady saw that she had agreed to it, she cheered up immediately. She rose to wash up and get changed, and got ready to head out.

Shen Zhilie was still asleep. As Yu Lili was debating with herself whether or not to wake him up, the old lady gave her a look that told her not to.

They took a taxi to Ou Ming's house. It was 8 a.m. when they arrived.

Old Mrs. Shen rang the doorbell while Yu Lili hid in a corner, afraid that Jiao Ziqing wouldn't open the door if she saw Yu Lili through the peephole.

As it turned out, the one who opened the door wasn't Jiao Ziqing. It was Ou Huojin.

Ou Huojin did a double take when he saw Old Mrs. Shen. ”Grandmother-in-law! Why are you here?”

Grandmother-in-law was a form of address evidently carried over from before the fiasco.
