Luo Yu typically woke up early. He heard rustling noises at the foot of his bed, so immediately opened his eyes and sat up, only to see Su Jiawen who had rolled himself into a fetal position and was sleeping under the bed. He recalled that he had kicked the other off his bed last night, so ignored him.

Luo Yu made his way upstairs again after a morning run and arrived just in time to see Su Jiawen sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

Upon seeing Luo Yu enter the room, Su Jiawen clung onto the edge of the bed and nervously greeted him. ”Mr. Luo, good morning.”

Luo Yu saw that he had very quickly gotten into his new role, meaning he didn't need to spend extra time teaching him. He nodded and headed off to shower.

When Luo Yu walked out, Su Jiawen was still seated, but this time on the bed. He seemed to be waiting for Luo Yu. Luo Yu's tone wasn't very good as he asked, ”What?”

”Mr. Luo, what should I wear?” Su Jiawen inquired.

These trivial matters weren't things Luo Yu had to worry about. He pressed the buzzer at the head of his bed; mere seconds later, the housekeeper knocked on the door and entered. Luo Yu pointed at Su Jiawen with his chin. ”Prepare some clothes for him.”

The housekeeper nodded and left. Luo Yu turned around to look at Su Jiawen, agreeing that it wouldn't be right for him to walk around in only a bathrobe. Thus, he chose a t-s.h.i.+rt he had for golfing and a pair of shorts from his closet and threw them at Su Jiawen. ”Wear this today.”

Luo Yu himself changed into a suit. Su Jiawen kept mumbling, wanting to talk to him, but Luo Yu simply pretended he couldn't hear. He told Su Jiawen, ”Be good and listen to the housekeeper. You're not allowed to leave the house.”

Su Jiawen could only nod and say he knew.

Before leaving, the housekeeper waited by the door for Luo Yu. He casually reminded, ”The little thing in my room, don't let him go anywhere.”

The housekeeper nodded. Luo Yu kindly added, ”Also, don't let him get too cold or hungry.”

When he reached his company, Luo Yu received a call from his father, asking him what he was busy with recently.

Luo Yu's ident.i.ty was very sensitive. The Luo family had originally been the Yu family, but because of some events in years prior, they had to move from the capitol to Ping City, where Luo Yu took up the mantle of doing business. Later on, his dad took his mom to Europe, making occasional trips back to the capitol to spend time with his old friends.

The purpose of this call was to have Luo Yu visit someone.

Luo Yu thus made an impromptu visit to the capitol, spending the afternoon playing golf with his dad and an elder he hadn't seen in a while. He still had plans in Ping City for the evening, so flew back before dinner.

When he finally got home, it was already midnight.

The housekeeper was still loyally waiting for him by the door. Luo Yu threw his coat at the housekeeper and went upstairs alone to bathe.

After showering, he didn't feel sleepy anymore. Thus, Luo Yu headed downstairs, wanting to get some fresh air. He coincidentally managed to catch Su Jiawen sneakily looking for milk to drink in the kitchen.

Su Jiawen had surrept.i.tiously opened the fridge. Half his head was blocked by the refrigerator door.

There were several types of fresh milk inside. He was in the middle of choosing which type to drink when a large hand landed on his shoulder. Luo Yu leaned in close to question by his ear, ”What are you doing?”

Su Jiawen shook with fright. He turned around to look at Luo Yu. ”Mr. Luo.”

Luo Yu lowered his arm and turned on the lights in the kitchen. Su Jiawen was wearing cotton pajamas and standing obediently with a box of milk in his hands.

”I wanted to drink some milk,” Su Jiawen said.

Luo Yu sat on the edge of the dinner table. ”Next time you don't need to keep the lights off. Seems suspicious.”

Su Jiawen nodded and fished a small milk pot out from somewhere in the kitchen. He turned his head to ask Luo Yu, ”Does Mr. Luo want some too?”

Luo Yu realized this person wasn't very wary of strangers – he had even dug out the milk pot. Thus he answered, ”I'll have a cup.”

Su Jiawen turned on the fire and waited until the milk was bubbling, then poured out two cups and walked over with them.

Luo Yu hadn't drank a lot of milk since he had become an adult; the fresh milk at home was for the cook to make desserts with. But when Su Jiawen handed it to him, he felt that there was no difference between drinking a cup of warm milk at night and drinking a gla.s.s of wine.

A home should seem more like a home.

After drinking the milk, Luo Yu brought Su Jiawen upstairs. Su Jiawen was still walking weirdly. Luo Yu gazed at Su Jiawen's face filled with baby fat and ordered him to give him a b.l.o.w.j.o.b.

Su Jiawen's skills weren't that great, but he was a fast learner. Luo Yu came in his mouth and he obediently swallowed.

Luo Yu stared at him for a long time before telling him to go rinse his mouth out.

Su Jiawen stumbled off to do so. After he finished, he walked out and asked Luo Yu, ”Then I'll head down now, Mr. Luo?”

Luo Yu didn't know why he gestured for Su Jiawen to come over. ”Warm my bed tonight.”

Su Jiawen wasn't much of a bedwarmer, but he was a peaceful sleeper and never made any sudden movements when unconscious. Luo Yu turned off the lights and the two fell asleep amicably.

Halfway through the night, Luo Yu felt hot and reached a hand out to grab at something. His grasp coincidentally fell upon a cold wrist and he thus tugged Su Jiawen into his embrace. That night, Luo Yu slept exceptionally well.

Just like that, Su Jiawen moved into Luo Yu's room. He never spent the night in his guest room again.

Luo Yu wasn't home during the day so didn't know how Su Jiawen got along with the waitstaff in his home, but he knew Su Jiawen was friends with his dog and horses.

Luo Yu's dog was a Canary Mastiff. It was vicious and liked picking fights. Only Luo Yu and the housekeeper, both who had fed him since he was a pup, could control him. Normally he was kept in the enclosed s.p.a.ce of the empty area north of the garden.

When Su Jiawen arrived at Luo Yu's home, he didn't leave the house for a whole week. One night, Luo Yu regained his conscience and asked if Su Jiawen wanted to go for a walk with him.

Su Jiawen finally had the chance to wear normal clothes and head outside.

Luo Yu took him up north. They walked a few steps before the Canary Mastiff off in the distance caught the scent of humans and started barking like mad.

”Abel, no barking.” Luo Yu didn't want to scare Su Jiawen, so commanded his dog to stop.

The Canary Mastiff had undergone extensive training and was very obedient. As soon as Luo Yu's voice sounded, he really stopped barking. His nose twitched through the fence as he stared at Su Jiawen.

Su Jiawen scooted closer and looked at the Canary Mastiff from the other side of the railing. He

smiled, then gently said, ”It's a little doggie.”

Luo Yu furrowed his brows and glanced at Su Jiawen. He had never heard anyone say a Canary Mastiff was a doggie. Though the Canary Mastiff wasn't the ugliest among the hunting dogs, it certainly wasn't the best looking. Abel was purebred and had brown-black fur with pointed ears; he was fairly large and seemed in all aspects to be an evil dog.

Before he could say anything, Su Jiawen directly stuck his hand through the fence and patted Abel's head. He said, ”Sit.”

Thus, Luo Yu's vicious Canary Mastiff obediently sat down and made a ”wu” sound at Su Jiawen, obviously trying to make a good impression…

Luo Yu was surprised. Su Jiawen turned around and smiled at him, then said, ”If I say it, Mr. Luo might not believe me, but I'm very fated with little animals.”

Canary Mastiffs were very sensitive to smell. Their abilities to detect and predict danger were far better than humans'.

It wasn't until a long time later that Luo Yu realized, Abel's good behavior hadn't been because of that mysterious fate, but because the person next to him carried the unmistakable scent of blood on him. It was the smell of someone who had killed his way through a pit of dead people.

After they strolled through the garden once, Luo Yu brought Su Jiawen back inside. Su Jiawen had a homey feel about him; Luo Yu had even started making more of an effort to come home these days.

He held Su Jiawen's hand as they walked. Su Jiawen asked him, ”Can I come and see Abel again?”

Luo Yu agreed, but not before seizing this opportunity to take advantage of him first.

Another few days later, Su Jiawen brought up the matter of horses with Luo Yu.

”Mr. Luo, I saw horses in the back of the mountain.” Before bed, Su Jiawen leaned into Luo Yu's ear and secretly told him.

Luo Yu owned the large area of land and half the mountain behind his house. There, he had set up a small horse racing course and stables to keep his three racehorses.

”You want to go riding?” Luo Yu asked him.

He also hadn't gone horseback riding in a long time. Coincidentally, one of his friends from the capitol was coming to Hong Kong for some business and would be visiting him tomorrow. He also liked horses and had brought up wanting to see Luo Yu's babies.

Su Jiawen inquired, ”Will it be a lot of work?”

Luo Yu answered seriously. ”Yes, it will.”

Su Jiawen knew Luo Yu was joking with him, but played along anyways. ”What should I do then?”

Luo Yu's hand slipped inside Su Jiawen's s.h.i.+rt and squeezed his nipples. Su Jiawen's body was sensitive, so as soon as Luo Yu touched his nipples, his entire body went soft. He leaned against Luo Yu, allowing the other to do as he wished.

Su Jiawen was still thinking about Luo Yu's horses, so asked about them as he sat straddled on Luo Yu.

Luo Yu liked horseback riding too, and thus didn't mind Su Jiawen's behavior. He pressed Su Jiawen into the bed and f.u.c.ked him one round, before suddenly asking if he wanted to go see the horses.

Su Jiawen laid there, panting. His words were a bit slurred as he asked, ”Can we go tomorrow?”

”It's now or never.” Luo Yu always did what he thought, when he thought. Su Jiawen put on his clothes and sat up, following Luo Yu to the back of the mountain on wobbly legs.

Luo Yu stuffed Su Jiawen into the car and drove around to the horse stables. They got out of the car under a blanket of starlight.

Ping City was near the subtropics, but was still a bit chilly in December. Su Jiawen didn't have all his clothes on properly, so sneezed as soon as he left the car.
