Mu Yao slowly got used to the blinding light and gradually opened her eyes. She thought that the other side of the stone door would open up to another side of the cave, which would have the same structure as the cave she’d been in.

In fact, she even thought that she would encounter a giant ape or beast that would bare its fangs to swallow her! Never had she imagined that a lush forest awaited her behind the stone door!

At a glance, the fluffy white clouds overlapped with the lawn at the horizon. There were several rabbits running wantonly through the grass. On the other side were several furry flocks of sheep lazily grazing under the sunlight.

Warm sunlight hit the ground as the sun moved slowly through the sky. Behind the lawn was a lush forest, and from the depths of the forest came the occasional chirping of birds.

‘Could this be the exit? Have I found the exit to the outside world?’

Subconsciously, Mu Yao turned around and saw that the stone door she had passed through was actually a black shadow that had appeared out of thin air. It wasn’t a door that led to the cave, but a shadow that looked like a door.

Mu Yao crouched down, picked up a small stone, and threw it at the door-like shadow. She wanted to see if it was indeed a one-way door.

“Ah!” The stone flew in a perfect trajectory and hit the forehead of the man who walked out of the shadow right then.

Mu Yao was surprised. “Why are you here?”

The man stroked the spot where he was hit and said slowly, still in pain, “Hey, woman! Why are you hitting me? How else will I get the chance to watch you die if I didn’t come?”

The corners of Mu Yao’s mouth turned up slightly, and she put away the silver sword in her hand. She put it back on her waist, crossed her arms, and looked at the man with an unclear expression. She seemed a little smug.

“Young lady, why are you looking at me like that?” the man couldn’t help but ask.

Mu Yao glanced behind her. The man followed her gaze.

His handsome face was instantly filled with disbelief! The scene before the man’s eyes dumbfounded him. The blue sky, white clouds, the plains, and the huge forest behind them.

“That’s impossible. It’s just a fluke,” the man said with a smirk.

Suddenly, the sun rose in the sky. From the looks of it, it was no longer morning but noon.

Seeing this, Mu Yao bowed to the man with her back facing the scenery behind her. “It’s fate that we met. We’re lucky to have escaped from the cave together. Farewell then! I hope we don’t meet again in the future.”

“Woman! Stop right there!” The man’s surprised expression instantly turned into fear.

“Since we’ve already escaped, stop thinking about your sword techniques!” Mu Yao replied.

At the same time, she felt a chill run down her spine when she saw the man’s terrified face. That was because the sun in the sky that had originally been emitting a warm yellow light had turned blood-red! The entire land and plains, and even the forest were now blood-red, and it was extremely terrifying!

Mu Yao slowly turned around to meet the man’s terrified eyes!

Suddenly, Mu Yao felt nauseous. The beautiful grasslands had turned into a sea of blood! All the animals on the grassland, including the rabbits, the sheep, and a few other animals, vomited blood as they lay on the blood-red lawn.

Not far away, a giant beast appeared, its entire body burning! Immediately after, the forest in the distance, which was originally lush and verdant, turned bare in an instant. Then, the forest started to burn for no reason, and a gust of cold wind suddenly blew past.

The entire forest was now on fire! One tree after another was set on fire. Somehow, the small fire had slowly become a medium-sized fire.

Picking up her sword, Mu Yao took off her sheath and was about to fight the fire. However, no sooner had she stepped forward was she shocked by the changes in the sun!

A black line had suddenly appeared in the center of the blood-red sun, and the line slowly spread across to the ends of the sphere.

Terror filled Mu Yao’s eyes! It wasn’t a sun, but a bloody eye!

The blood-red eyeball scanned the forest. Following that, the fire spread toward Mu Yao at an inexplicable speed!

“Run!” Mu Yao grabbed the man’s hand and ran in the opposite direction!

The two of them started to run frantically.
