Chapter 17 A dispute at the table (1/2)
Xia Nuan was holding Wuyou and Nianci in the room, and Coade sent someone outside the room to prevent Luo Dai’er from bursting in and doing radical things.
Xia Nuan was still recovering from fear. She had no idea why Luo Dai’er was so disgusted with her.
Thinking it over, Xia Nuan deemed that it was their previous conversation in the living room that was mistakenly interpreted as her seducing Ye Sichen. Given this, Luo Dai’er was a little overheated.
Ye Sichen enjoyed a high position in the music circles and had great charm. There were not only fans supporting him outside the circle, but also countless women naturally coveting him in the circle. That was why Luo Dai’er was so sensitive to prevent anyone from seducing him every day.
It would be exhausted to have such a marriage.
Despite her deep affections for the babies, Xia Nuan had to consider the resignation issue to avoid Luo Dai’er from misunderstanding.
Until Wuyou and Nianci were asleep, Xia Nuan walked out of the room and went downstairs to the guest room.
Just at the time, assistant Ken was telling the servants to clean up the drawing room. According to him, several well-known directors and musicians would come and visit soon. Xia Nuan walked over to him and said that she would like to resign.
Ken frowned. He only told her that he would tell Mr. Ye about her resignation, and then asked her to go upstairs and have a rest.
Generally, when some people came to visit Ye Sichen, Xia Nuan rarely went out. Ken said it was Mr. Ye’s decision, probably to avoid suspicion.
In the recording room, Ye Sichen was tuning syllables with his guitarist Lacy and bassist Abul. He made efforts to tune every syllable ideally. Sometimes Lacy would say that this syllable was fair-sounding enough, but Ye Sichen would listen carefully for a dozen times until each syllable was perfect.
No matter a song or a dance step, Ye Sichen was always striving for excellence.
At this time, Luo Dai’er came over and smiled warmly, “You busy guys, dinner is ready. Take your place then.”
She came to Ye Sichen and sat beside him, holding his hand.
But Ye Sichen raised that hand and dialed towards the console.
Luo Dai’er was depressed about that.
“Ye, I’m sorry.”
She apologized in a low voice.
Ye Sichen seemed to be thinking about something else.
On the table, Luo Dai’er treated Lacy and Abul with the utmost cordiality, and her virtuous performance made the two players feel jealous.
Ye Sichen was silent. He just sat there, looking upstairs. For a moment, he called Ken, leaned and told him in a low voice, “Tell the cook to send some food upstairs.”
Wuyou and Nianci were in the breastfeeding period, so the nutrition of Xia Nuan also had to keep up.
Luo Dai’er stopped Ken from leaving and said, “That’s OK. I’ve already told the cook to serve Ms. Xia’s food once they are ready. She is the nanny of Wuyou and Nianci. And I am very grateful to her for that. Therefore, in order to show my sincerity, I should personally invite her to come down for dinner.”
Luo Dai’er seemed so considerate.
“Dai’er.” Ye Sichen stopped her from inviting Xia Nuan.
For a moment, the atmosphere was come to a deadlock.
Lacy and Abul realized that Ye Sichen and Luo Dai’er seemed to be disputing.
Luo Dai’er turned around, “Ye, it’s a tough work for Ms. Xia to take care of our children. She really made efforts for that. We can’t treat her like an outsider. Am I right?”
Ye Sichen took a look at Ken, and Ken said to Luo Dai’er respectfully, “Mrs. Ye, please take a rest, and I’ll do that for you.”
Luo Dai’er stopped until then.
Xia Nuan was very surprised to hear this since servants and babysitters were not allowed to have dinner there.
Xia Nuan felt uneasy when she saw the two strangers who were sitting at the table downstairs. However, it would be impolite for her to refuse the invitation sent by Ye Sichen.
Luo Dai’er looked at Xia Nuan and kept a generous smile all the time. Only a trace of envy flitted through her eyes.
Ye Sichen tasted a bit of the orange juice and looked out the French window.
In order to protect his voice, he never drank wines.
