Chapter 169 (1/2)
Shriying had rushed at Lin violently even before his stern and cold voice dissipated. With his whole body shrouded in a dazzling blue light, Shriying looked terrifying.
Boom!
With Shriying’s five fingers clenching violently, the air exploded, and an invisible big hand just covered Lin Xun all over.
The blow hadn’t dropped yet, but the terrifying wind it caused had made Lin Xun’s long hair fly. Lin felt a sting on the skin all over which seemed to have been frozen.
Standing still on the spot, Lin Xun seemed to have been in a daze with fear.
With the cottage exploded into pieces, Shriying was out and launched an attack. Until this moment, this series of movements happened almost in an instant, which was incredibly swift.
If there was another practitioner here, he or she would also fail to react.
Although Lin stood still, he still looked self-composed and calm. With his black eyes fixing on the broken cottage, Lin Xun looked a little bit strange.
Since Shriying was an overmatch who was shrewd, ruthless, alert and experienced as well, Lin’s subtle anomaly caught his attention.
Did Lin have other tricks?
The moment the idea flashed through his mind, Shriying felt a blast of terrifying force surged over from all directions like invisible tentacles, which gripped his body violently and made his body that had rushed out fly backwards all of a sudden.
Bang!
His whole body was pounded onto the ground violently, and a huge cloud of dust rose. Shriying felt a burst of sharp pain all over, and couldn’t help groaning in a low voice.
At this moment, Lin Xun, who had been standing still, seemed to feel relieved, with a faint smile rising on his lips.
The cottage had become ruins. However, a circle of light appeared on the ground around the ruins at some point.
The light flowed, diffusing like ethereal mists. Mysterious and dense spiritual tattoos floated within it, radiating the spiritual lights in red, blue, red, green and black.
Overlooked from the sky, the colorful light which gushed out of the ground formed a circle around the cottage, and the spiritual lights intertwined, and the spiritual tattoos rolled with mysterious and dazzling glare.
Shriying was trapped in the circle. Although these spiritual lights looked illusory, soft, and powerless, they, like giant mountains, suppressed Shriying, who just couldn’t struggle to stand up.
His face changed suddenly, with his eyes full of astonishment. He looked a little bit stunned.
Lin Xun stood in the distance, and took out his sabre silently. He came up step by step, with his handsome face looking calm, and only an awesome atmosphere of murder spread around his body.
“This is what the small Purgatory Spiritual Formation of Five Elements is.”
Lin Xun didn’t stop his steps until he came to the periphery of the spiritual formation. Looking at Shriying who was astonished and furious, Lin said, “So you can close your eyes in death.”
Feeling a sharp pain all over, Shriying could clearly sense that streams of terrifying force were oppressing and grinding himself like millstones, and every inch of his skin was suffering.
He completely didn’t have to doubt that if it went on this way, he might be ground into a puddle of minced meat, and he would lose his life definitely!
“I indeed had underestimated you, but do you think you can kill me by virtue of this formation?”
Shriying’s voice sounded as if it was squeezed out of the slit between his teeth. His voice was husky, and low but showed no sign of anger, so it was obvious that he didn’t lose his marbles yet.
Unexpectedly, Lin Xun smiled and nodded, “You’re right! Although the formation is powerful, it lacks a core thing, so there is little possibility that I can kill you by it.”
Shriying squinted his eyes. Looking at the young man in the distance, and the calm and serious expression on his face, Shriying’s heart sank for no reason.
What kind of human teenager he was?
Having hidden in the dark, Shriying had thought he would never be noticed by others. However, the young man seemed to be born with a kind of extraordinary insight, and he had not only noticed his existence, but had spent days arranging a well-designed trap.
It was not a thing that could be accomplished by an ordinary practitioner!
What shocked Shriying most was that the young man managed to arrange a spiritual formation in spite of his young age, which completely broke Shriying’s former understanding of spiritual tattooists.
Having fought for over twenty years, Shriying didn’t remember how many mighty guys of Ziyao Empire he had killed, and he knew quite well about the Ziyao Empire. He was quite clear how rare and terrifying the fact that a teenager could refine a spiritual formation just depending on his cultivation of Martial Realm was.
And now, Shriying finally felt a sense of crisis when he noticed the young man, who looked calm and deliberate, still maintained a posture of total control when facing him.
The young man must have hidden some trump card!
Shriying might be laughed at violently by his fellows if they got to know that he, who had the title of “Ghost for Assassination”, would fear a human teenager to such extent.
But for Shriying, it was totally not funny!
Therefore, this really depressed Shriying. Just a teenager of Martial Realm could make him suffer such a setback, Shriying couldn’t imagine how terrifying power the teenager would have when he grew up.
This kind of person would be a great threat to the whole Voodoo-barbarian Tribe if not killed.
But unfortunately, Shriying didn’t have the ability to change the situation, and currently he was even not sure whether he could get out of the plight!
Suddenly, Shriying got a sharp sense that the spiritual formation’s force oppressing his body showed an imperceptible sign of weakening, which made his heart vibrate, because it completely confirmed his guess just now.
“It seems that I’m indeed doomed this time. I have killed countless mighty humans, and I have thought I might be killed by someone stronger than me, but I’ve never imagined I might be defeated by a human teenager. It is so ridiculous.”
