General Tompsom and Carl were in the back of an armored truck, surrounded by several police officers on motorcycles.

”My general, I still don't understand why are we heading towards this little glory town?” Carl asked obviously very confused by his general's actions.

Traveling from the capital city to a small town for no apparent reason was not something the general used to do. Even more so with his busy schedule.

His journey had to be for a reason. Reason that the general had refused to comment and he wanted to know madly.

The tompsom general looked deeply at Carl for a few seconds before sighing and saying in a very low voice.

”I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but I had to take every possible precaution so that the news didn't spread among the other generals. But now that we've arrived in glory city, I consider it unnecessary to keep it a secret.”

”The reason for our arrival in glory city

It's very simple actually: recruitment. ”General Tompsom spoke clearly and emphatically.

Carl was very surprised by his response. Although the general hadn't said much, Carl was able to clearly sense everything that was going on.

A recruitment? It was something very commonly done by all the generals in the nation. They were looking for promising awakened ones with very interesting skills to work under their command.

But today it was different from a simple recruitment. Recruitment was commonly performed by the general's subordinates, since he could not be bothered to do all the work. Carl even had several recruits on behalf of the general as well.

But never in all this time had the general deigned to recruit himself in person.

That already showed how highly important the general considered this awakened. But not only that, the general went so far as to hide all the information he could even from him.

Knowing all this Carl could be calmer, but he did not know why ........ Every time they got closer and closer to the small city called glory city ........ Carl was beginning to feel very uneasy.

His power was intuition and he never let this kind of feeling go unnoticed. But he could not speak recklessly without knowing the true origin of his feeling.

Carl sat in his seat looking out the car window with a worried look.

.............

Tyler painfully opened his eyes and looked bewildered around him.

He couldn't pinpoint where he was.

All he could see was an old dirty ceiling, a narrow, dilapidated room plus a small mat where he was lying.

The last thing he remembered before falling unconscious was seeing that newspaper cover that shocked him greatly.

Logically it should only have been 5 days since his departure.

But from what he had witnessed, many things had changed since then.

On top of that .... There was something that puzzled him even more.

Tyler looked at his body.

Everything seemed completely normal and in order.

But he knew it very well, many changes had happened in his body.

First of all Tyler felt his stats had gone up. After so long, Tyler was already sensitive towards this point and was able to know if his statistics rose or fell, but if he wanted to be precise, he had to resort to his eyes.

Although it didn't seem like much that his stats had increased by a bit, for Tyler it was.

During the 5 years that Tyler was in the world of Naruto, he managed to carry out an uncountable number of missions and thus upload his statistics by a large number.
