78 eyes of fate (1/2)

Tyler looked everywhere confused, he didn't know where he was or what was happening.

The only thing that could be said was infinite darkness, but strangely he did not feel nervous or panic, in fact he felt comfortable in the middle of the darkness and that was strange.

Because when I was little I used to fear the dark.

And although he was already big and had learned to overcome that fear, being surrounded by infinite darkness on all sides was not pleasant at all.

Tyler couldn't explain his feelings, for some reason he felt that this was a safe place.

Suddenly and without even having time to react ..... The darkness that surrounded him disappeared completely and was replaced by a particular scene.

It was a very small but cozy room. In that small room were a small bed in the corner, a window across the room, and a small nightstand with a television on top.

The space was very small, but Tyler managed to see very clearly how a boy of around 7 years old was sitting in front of the television fully immersed in programming.

This greatly impacted Tyler. Not because he was suddenly somewhere else under too mysterious circumstances, but because Tyler knew this place and most of all ... He knew the boy in bed.

It was him!!

More specifically it was the 7-year-old Tyler and this was the old house that he shared at the time with his parents.

On TV they aired cartoons that Tyler couldn't clearly recall, but he could see how some sort of villain faced off with a masked and caped hero.

As a completely predictable thing, the villain suffered a landslide defeat while the hero left with the girl.

Seeing all this .... As the hero was so dazzling and cool. The 7-year-old Tyler's eyes began to glow brightly, as if thousands of stars would find themselves hauntingly rolling inside his pupils.

His body trembled as he imagined himself to be one of those cool heroes. Just thinking about it, made Tyler's already dazzling eyes shine with more intensity, full of unquestionable passion and emotion and even more yearning and ....... dreams !!

”How cool would it be if I could one day become a hero? !!” Tyler exclaimed unconsciously without realizing that his mother Sofia was behind him. looking at him sadly. his gaze seemed to mean a lot, but in the end he couldn't seem to find the strength to do it.

But upon hearing Tyler's seemingly harmless exclamation. Sofia overreacted, running quickly to Tyler and hugging him from behind.

”Don't be a hero!” Sofia shouted in a tearful, choked voice.

”You are the only thing I have left.” Sofia's eyes were red, evidence of how much she had cried. ”I need you alive.”

”You make me be brave.”

After saying everything, Sofia could not bear it and burst into tears. Although Tyler was still young, he was a very intelligent boy and was vaguely able to understand the meaning of those words.

You are the only thing I have left !!

He didn't say: you and your father.

His mother had been orphaned since his adolescence and thanks to that the only family he had was him and his father.

A very great sadness invaded, but since Tyler was always someone who did not easily speak or show his emotions, he simply stayed in his mother's arms and cried silently while his tears seemed to fall endlessly.

For some reason, Tyler came to feel that the world around him was beginning to crumble and his previous one shone.

Tyler stood there, paralyzed watching that scene.

He could remember very clearly that that ..... was the day his dreams of being a hero were shattered.

But make no mistake, Tyler had never blamed his mother for that. All she did was show him the cruel reality before he found out for himself.

Tyler quickly focused all his attention on that scene. He had always remembered this conversation and kept it deep in his heart.

But what he continued from now strangely never remembered. But deep in his heart, Tyler knew that conversation was just as, if not more important than he had already heard.

He was always curious about what they had talked about that time, but he was embarrassed to ask his mother about it, since it was related to very painful memories.

But no matter how much attention Tyler paid to the conversation, all he could see: it was the two of them having a conversation, but he couldn't hear absolutely anything they were saying.

At the end of the conversation the two stared at each other, smiled happily and hugged each other.

Something Tyler couldn't remember either.

Being immersed in confusion, Tyler did not realize that the entire scene around him constantly changed until he was again in that infinite darkness. but this time it was different, very different.

Tyler could clearly hear the sound of something crawling dryly across the floor.
