”Do you think they can do it?”

Deke stood next to Ben on the city wall, watching the four generals battle the king.

”Colton's Inherited Skill won't have that much affect because kings barely use skills but relies on their immense strength. James' skill is powerful but won't be able to have much effect. This battle will come down to have to work together and use their skills and strengths to weaken the king and land a decisive blow.” Ben said quietly.

Deke silently agreed with him. ”What are you planning to do with the demons?”

Ben let out a long sigh, ”Try to make peace with them… even if we have to give them a few of the guilty people from this city.”

”You want them part of your city.” Deke said, seeing through Ben's words.

Ben nodded his head not denying it. ”We are going to need everybody we can get and if I can win their loyalty like I did with the dwarves… we would have another strong ally.”

”Wouldn't it be better to gain humans trust instead?”

Ben let out a cynical laugh and made a gesture towards the city, ”What, humans like this? Humans that take prey on the weak? You want them protecting your back when we are on the battlefield?” Ben let out another sigh. ”Humanity isn't about your race, it's about your actions, your choices. I have seen more humanity from the dwarves and Cloey then I have from most others.”

Deke remained silent and pondered Ben's words.

”f.u.c.k!”

Colton cursed as he looked down at his hands. His gauntlets were broken and hands were b.l.o.o.d.y. All four of them were beaten back by the king, hardly scratching him.

Lilith was able to heal them and keep them fighting but the mental strain was starting to affect them.

”Listen to me. Colton and Lance will meet him head on. James, you need to choose the right time to take your shot. Only you have been able to injure him” Lilith quickly gave everyone orders, she had watched the situation and came up with this plan.

”We can't match him physically.” Colton said, looking down at his hands.

Lance nodded, his face covered in the unwillingness to admit defeat. His armour had dents in it and his s.h.i.+eld was missing to top half.

”She is right. I have enough strength to activate my skill once more. I will make it count.” James said, glaring at the king.

”Plan and discuss all you want, your fate is still the same.” the zombie king interrupted. ”I have been more than patient for the dragon to come but he seems not to care about you. So you no longer serve a purpose.”

The king grabbed his sword with both hands and closed his eyes. Grey aura shot out from his body, causing the surrounding plants to wither and die. The four generals felt a wave of despair and negative emotions invade their minds.

”Don't let it affect you!” Lilith said, creating a white barrier around her and others.

The negative thoughts and despair suddenly vanished.

”Thanks Lilith.” Lance said gratefully. The aura from the king almost immobilized them.

Lance then charged the king, wielding his great sword above his head. Colton followed behind him, the flames covering up to his shoulders. The king opened up his eyes, they glowed grey.

A mocking smile appeared on the king's face. When Lance swung his great sword, the king raised his hand and caught it, shocking everyone. Colton was quick and sent a punch at the king. Using his sword to block the blow, the king moved quickly and sent a kick towards Lance who barely raised his broken s.h.i.+eld in time to block it.

*CRACK!*

Lance felt his arm break as he was sent flying. The king then grabbed Colton by the arm and threw him.

'Now!'

James saw this as his opportunity and activated his skill. Lighting and wind raged around him while dark clouds filled the sky. His sword sparked with lightning and wind swirled around it.

James timed his attack perfectly, the king was in a vulnerable position. The swords tip got closer and closer the the king's head. The king's eyes got wide the next second a smile came across his face.
