Long Yue shouted in disbelief. He thought that he could get some help from the guardian but it seemed that he was too naive to even think of it.

”Ahh????? My apologies. But regarding that, I guess you will have to ask your schoolmaster. I'm not a sorceress, I don't know magic and I also don't have any magic powers.

I'm just a normal merfolk. My specie's talent lies in singing and beguiling others through our voices. Do you want me to sing for you instead???”

It's not that Arva didn't want to help them. The problem was that she does not have the means to do so. She was chosen to be the guardian of the entrance of Echurid for only one reason.

She was a mermaid, and she was good at swimming. Since the entrance to the land of Echurid lies underwater, there is no other race more suitable for the job than a merfolk.

Fan Lei waved his hands when he saw that Arva was sporting a troubled face, looking like her dilemma was if she should sing for the group or not.

”That is a mermaid's tear. It can help you breathe underwater for a limited period of time. As long as you swallow one it should last you enough to reach the underwater mirror gate.”

The group did not hesitate to swallow the pearl-like object. As soon as they put the mermaid's tears inside their mouths, the pearl-like object immediately melted, causing a salty taste to overwhelm their taste buds.

”Come on, lets go.”

As soon as she saw that the group swallowed their mermaid's tears, Arva beckoned on them. After that, they dove into the water once again.

After another couple of minutes or so, the group arrived at the place where they first met Arva. It was the edge of the Luminous Mountain Valley.

Right on the other end of this valley, they have to look for the port leading to their school and enter from there.
