Yu Gangan scrunched up her face with no intention to rush down straight away.

They had booked the room for another 40 minutes. If she was to leave in 30 minutes, that wouldn’t be too bad.

Fang Zhihan’s response was quick and intimidating.

The simple response was his last compromise.

As a result, 20 minutes later, Yu Gangan, Chen Fuli and Zhang Sa exited the karaoke.

Chen Fuli offered to see both women home, but they refused. After all, their homes weren’t on the way.

The night time temperature was below zero. When the snowy cold wind blew against one’s body, it felt like it could pierce through to the bone; simply standing outside for a little while was unbearable.

But, the trio knew each other well and the night wasn’t too late – it was just past 9pm – so there was no need for politeness.

Zhang Sa and Chen Fuli both caught a taxi home while Yu Gangan tucked in her neck and decided to run to the parking lot.

But, just before she started running, a military off-road vehicle suddenly stopped beside her. Yu Gangan spotted Fang Zhihan in the driver’s seat and immediately opened the door, taking the wind and snow with her as she sat inside.

The heater in the car slightly relaxed her body as she rubbed her hands in front of her mouth and blew on it a couple of times.

Fang Zhihan took off his jacket and wrapped it tightly around Yu Gangan. Leaving only a palm-sized portion of her face visible. As his fingers brushed past her cheek, he could feel that it was icy cold. “It’s so cold tonight, why are you out singing so late?” he said in a deep voice.

He cupped her cheeks between his hands, warming her with his palms.

Yu Gangan wanted to slap his hand away, but she was so cold that she didn’t want to move. So, she simply stared at him and said, “Didn’t you come out as well?”
