106 Checking Him Ou (1/2)
It was a little over twelve. The sun was glaring at people moving to and fro. This was specifically why Kim decided to wear something small. She was not really fond of exposing her body, it was only just to entice Carl, if only he knew that.
The weather was becoming unbearable. It was tougher for people who had businesses that require being under the harsh weather especially traders at the local market.
Candidates for seat in every sphere of government had also began campaigning. They could be seen moving from market to market, from one public place to another. The smarter ones dressed casually, they even had a cooler of cold refreshing drinks and hand fan to go but the others dressed formally could not be considered smart. This drew up critique, if they could not tell what to wear for the occasion, are they truly capable of leading them?
As she walked down the streets, she saw many posters and manifestos pasted by the road side. The billboards had running advertisement for the seat of the head of government. She wasn't really paying attention so she almost missed a detail. ”Charles Stan.. the man you can trust.” Seeing the ad, she paused in her steps, examining the man, he looked familiar. Sudden realization struck her, he looked like Isabella.
He was definitely over forty, but he looked young and refreshing. The ad only had those words along side a picture of him smiling warmly. He was dressed formally, his aura was that of a kind uncle.
Though he appeared warm and nice, Kim felt he was one of those ”uncles” who had ulterior motives. He would definitely lure you into his trap with a little candy. Thinking that, she shuddered.
The other candidates did not stand out as much as he did. He had this aura that made people feel they could get close to him, he was like every other normal person. His countenance outshined the others, they could only serve as backdrops, especially when they were placed side by side.
She felt he would definitely win the election if it goes on. She shook her head then she quietly flagged down a taxi.
Arriving at her destination, she paid her fares before heading into the café.
It was a branch of a very popular chain of cafés. And it was also close to the university. Though she had never been to the café, she had heard stories about how good the coffee and cakes are. The fact that they even let customers study while drinking a cup of coffee for hours made it a frequent joint for the undergraduate students.
She placed an order for a cup of coffee before taking a seat by the window overlooking the door. It was so she could tell when Isabella and Sean arrived.
Not long after she began sipping her coffee, Sean walked in. His eyes quickly ran across the room, searching for Kim. She waved at him with a warm smile plastered on her face.
