”Good morning,” Kim yawned as she strolled down the stairs in her pyjamas.

Rubbing her eyes, Bella turned towards her, ”Morning.”

Kim was taken aback for a moment because her eye bags were blaring, ”Couldn't sleep?”

She simply nodded in acknowledgement.

As she was too excited last night and she was also in an unfamiliar environment, she couldn't catch a wink of sleep.

She had even rushed out early so she could have an encounter with her crush but he seemingly wasn't awake.

Currently, Isabella was brooding. Her mission to impress her crush was ruined before it began.

In spite of the fact that she was tired, she wanted to talk to him. Her only fear was that if she rested a bit, she would fall asleep and may not have the chance to interact with Carl again…

So resting was not an option.

She was doing everything to keep her eyes from dropping.

She wasn't even aware of the state of her face, else she wouldn't be sitting in front of the TV, patiently waiting for his arrival.

”Why don't you go wash up, I'll make breakfast,” Kim suggested, walking away.

You would think she would do as Kim said, yet she didn't budge.

If only she knew she was in for a huge disappointment she would take a shower, have breakfast then have her beauty sleep.

Too bad that wasn't the case. As Carl was too busy, he didn't come out from the basement until she left, leaving behind a sleep deprived, tired, disappointed girl.

”You still haven't showered?” Kim stared at Isabella who was in a daze.

Bella only glanced at her briefly before turning back to the TV.

Kim paused for a moment taking in the scene, ”Breakfast is ready... I'll go call him, he should be awake by now.”

Her words woke Isabella from her daze, she hurriedly got up almost tripping in the process.

Kim facepalmed, ”A friendly reminder, you look like a mess.”

With those words, she jogged up the stairs.

As soon as Bella heard her, without dilly-dallying, she ran into the washroom downstairs.

To her bewilderment, she had bird-nest hair, her appearance was anything short of impressive.

She quickly combed her hair with her fingers then did a quick messy bun before washing her face.

Even though she looked more tidy than before, her eye bags could not be concealed.

She took a once-over of her reflection in the mirror before patting her cheeks and heading to the dinning.

Since Carl's room was empty, Kim found her way to the basement.

Not surprising, he was sitting on his desk, working.

As she entered, he raised his head. Hesitantly, he greeted, ”H-hey…”

”I made breakfast.”
