Chamberlain had gone overboard the previous day, turning and tossing her as he pleased. She couldn't complain about it because she enjoyed their little adventure. It was like discovering and exploring uncharted territory.
Along the line, she fell asleep due to exhaustion… Perhaps she passed out. Then when she woke up, he demanded for more, she couldn't reject him either. Although she was sore, she was more than satisfied that it didn't mean much to her. It was a kind of sore she liked and wouldn't grow tired of.
Thinking about it, a satisfied smile was plastered on her face. She opened her eyes and was greeted by her husband's amused smile.
”Good morning,” he placed a kiss on her cheek then teased, ”What are you thinking of?”
”Good morning,” she smiled at him with reddened ears. It was difficult looking into his eyes but she managed to hold his eyes for a while before looking away.
Chamberlain chuckled at her reaction. His hands on her waist tightened, ”Avoiding my question, huh?”
”No!” She denied. She pulled the duvet, covering up her face.
The next moment, he pulled away the duvet exposing her skin that he had done well to mark. On exposure, Lena's eyes widened as she tried to cover up herself.
His actions made her heart rate shoot through the roof.
Grabbing her hands, he continued to tease her, ”Are you still shy?”
She lowered her head as her face heated, ”No…”
”Then look at me.”
Slowly, she lifted her head, when their eyes met, she gulped. While she was distracted by her husband's charm, he suddenly lifted her from the bed.
”What are you doing?!”
Striding towards the bathroom, he nonchalantly replied, ”We should take a shower.”
Soon the steamy bathroom was filled with moans and grunts of passion as two souls became one.
…
While Lena and Chamberlain busied themselves with intimate affairs, the king had already passed his judgment.
He was aware that the person behind the Stans had withdrawn. His plan was to make that person abandon Charles Stan and then with the betrayal Charles would trade that person's identity for his life.
However, he did not expect that person to abandon Charles so easily. He had expected they would put up a fight but instead Charles had sent his wife and daughter abroad. This means he's planning on running away, isn't it?
Still, this was a chance to set an example. Charles Stan will have to step down or perhaps flee in order to survive.
Then he thought about his decision to launch an investigation against the Stans, he had evidence of their crimes already but he had other things in mind.
He wanted to see how Charles would make the Blackwood family his scapegoat, after all, Carl was the head of the finance department. As for Brandon, he was not sure how he'd come into play.
Though the news was yet to make its way to the headlines, if he tipped off the reporters, it would be over for Charles.
Scratch that, the fall of the Stans had already begun, whether it was known publicly or not, did not matter.
Soon, their allies would begin to abandon them too…
What would Mr. Hansberry do? Given his only daughter, his only child is already married to Chamberlain.
