Chapter 8 (2/2)

As soon as he got busy, he managed to finish the work before 12 o'clock, and Robert walked back to the police car tired.

But I saw Luke standing there with the same tired face, and there was a girl beside him.

Robert, of course, knew Simena.

Although he often quarrels with Luke, he cares a lot about him. Therefore, he has known and even roughly understood the communication between Simena and Luke.

He didn't ask Luke about his relationship with Simena until he knew she wasn't such a girl.

Now, looking at Luke, he asked, ”do you want me to count as your official work from today?”

Although Luke was tired, he said with a smile, ”no, tomorrow will count.”

Robert wryly smiled: ”thank you so much. There must be a lot of things tomorrow.”

Luke beckoned to himena beside him: ”thanks to himena tonight, or I can't get those tough guys.”

Robert nodded to Simena, ”thank you, Simena.”

Simena was also very tired, but she also smiled and said, ”it's OK, just to help maintain order, it should be.”

Luke: it's too late. Let's take her home for a rest

Robert nodded, opened the door, and the three got on.

After sending Simena home and watching her enter, Robert waves to the woman who greets her daughter at the door: ”Sandra, let her have a good rest. Today she has helped me a lot.”

Sandra, Simena's mother, heard Robert's words, just smiled and waved, and closed the door. The police car started again. This time it was home.

Robert suddenly said, ”you're at the scene. Have you found anything?”

Luke flashed a picture in his head and said, ”I'm not sure. Besides, Michelle was found in the swimming pool, not necessarily without the possibility of drowning

Robert pondered: ”tomorrow morning you and I will go to the police station, go to work, and then we will go to the forensic department in Knox to see the autopsy.”

Luke was silent for a moment. He said quietly, ”you are very kind to me. You go to the morgue on the first day of work.”

Robert laughs: ”you have to get used to being a policeman sooner or later.”

Luke sighed and put his seat back to make himself more comfortable: ”there's a saying - work is like a strong woman. If you can't resist it, close your eyes and enjoy it.”

Robert was stunned and laughed again: ”I didn't see you wrong, boy, you are born to be a policeman.”

Luke rolled his white eyes in the dark car: ”do you mean that the police are all unlucky people who are unable to resist and are forced to enjoy it?”

Robert's laughter stopped choking. After a while, he became angry: ”well, now I think you should be a lawyer, because your mouth is as vicious as theirs.”

Luke: Well, I think so He said nothing more.

Let's not say if he can go to university to study law, but as long as the detective system is there, it's impossible to be a lawyer, and it's impossible to be a lawyer in his life.

When he got home, Luke washed quickly and went straight to sleep on Simmons. Today, he was very tired.

The next morning Catherine came up to wake him up.

After washing and going downstairs, Robert had breakfast there: ”hurry up, boy. Today is your first day at work. You can't be late. ”
