Chapter 22:They Meet Again (1/2)

His biggest mistake was falling in love with a b*tch like her?

Tang Xinyan looked on as Fu Sichen slammed the door behind him and left. Her neatly-trimmed nails were dug deep into her palms.

She leaned her weak and vulnerable body against the shelf as her vision became blurry.

He had never asked her why she entered the entertainment industry. Back then, the Tang family was in a huge debt. Although Fu Sichen's grandfather was willing to get involved and help her, she did not want to owe the Fu family too much. Coincidently, a talent scout found her. To clear the debts and pay for her mother's medical bills, she shouldered everything with that delicate frame of hers.

There were indeed a lot of temptations, threats, and even traps in the entertainment industry

But she held firmly onto her own principles and boundaries were set, with the Fu family's support, she had never ever betrayed him.

But he did not believe her...

He even thought that she had a fling with Fu Yao.

She swore that she would uncover the truth about their wedding night. Not only did she want a divorce, she wanted to prove her innocence.

Her sixth sense was telling her that it might have something to do with Tang Yurou which resulted in Fu Sichen believing that she slept with Fu Yao.

Tang Xinyan went into the bathroom and took a shower. After she changed into a set of clean clothes, she took a cab and went to a nursing home.

Her mother was sitting in a wheelchair, mumbling to herself. One moment she was crying, but in the next, she was laughing, her mental state was critically unstable.

”Miss.”

Aunt Chun, who was the caretaker of Tang Xinyan's mother at the nursing home, came by and held her hands. She frowned and said, ”The dean mentioned that Dr. Jens will arrive in An Town next month. If we can contact him, Madam will be able to go for a brain surgery. She might be able to return back to normal, but I heard that the surgery will be quite costly…”

There was a tumor in her mother's brain, and now, it had started to press on the nerves. Without surgery, she could only live for another year.

Tang Xinyan had already quit from the entertainment industry for half a year. Most of her money was used to pay off the debts and her mother's medical bills. Now, she only had twenty to thirty thousand left.

When she got married, her father-in-law gave her a debit card but she kept it in the safe all this time. She did not spend a penny in the card.

It was not because she did not want to, but because she could not bring herself to do so.
