9 Chapter 8. Revealations. (1/2)

Flashback:

He was absolutely tired after the long meeting and need a good night sleep. The conference for the new upcoming brand was today and while it was easy to convince his other business partners, it took nearly four hours to settle on the common grounds with the Redrose corporations, thanks to his great CEO Daniel Rayfox.

Well, that man is a devil's incarnation. You got on his bad side, you go down.

Well, keeping him and his large publishing company aside, the deal was done and that's a thing to celebrate.

A few additions including half a million pay check for the publicity of the brand, some tokens here and there, and not to forget, 25 percent of profit at his name, it's all settled. His attention and travel from London to New York was worth it.

Nathaniel didn't bother changing out of his Armani suit and plop down on the bed. A sigh escaped his lips at the comfort of the silk sheets underneath him and he thought about her mother.

If only he could be with her. But he can't, the whole new additions to the contract had to be added and finalized, which means atleast two-three days more in this bustling city.

He highly crave for London's morning coffee right now, because he was not satisfied with the one here. It's not that it was bad, afterall this five star hotel was the best of the best in New York, but he loved his black coffee very much and need that perfect taste for it.

Absolutely no offence to D-towers group, especially to the owner. William Danford.

His phone ringed, successfully snapping him out of his thoughts and he leaned over to pick up the phone from the side table.

Mom?

Video calling?

He answered the call and watched the video crack slightly, until it finally settled on his mother's smiling face.

”Hey son! What's up?”

”Mom, I know you are an early riser but it's three o'clock in the morning here and I am tired. Can we not do this later?” Nathaniel sighed exasperatedly and Lisa ignored his comment entirely.

”So, as you know that it's Vanessa's eighteenth birthday tomorrow, so come back before the party.” She explained and he groaned as he realized that he had forgotten her birthday because of the deal.

”You forgot her birthday, Nathaniel! How could you?!” Lisa snarled at him and he winced slightly.

”That means you are not coming tomorrow!” Lisa exclaimed with anger and Nathaniel frowned at her.

”Mom, the deal was important otherwise Cameron Lakewood would have stolen it!” Nathaniel remarked seriously and Lisa scowled at her son.

”What about her present?” Lisa ignored her son's important remark completely and Nathaniel sighed.

”First drawer of the closet in my room, you'll find two velvet boxes. Choose whichever you like the most for her and let me sleep!” He cut the call before her mother could argue with him again and fell into deep slumber.

How can it be fucking possible?

Nathaniel growled in frustration, as he thumped himself to do the reality check.
