14 Chapter 13. The Tinted Nigh (1/2)

Flashback:

”Vanessa. You are being childish.” Vanessa ignored him for what seemed like umpteenth time and Nathaniel sighed.

If none of you had guessed, Vanessa was just being her stubborn childish self and had refused to talk with him, after he had broken the lock of the room she was hiding in, caught ahold of her slippery little self when she tried to run and thrown over his shoulder as she tried to wriggle out out of his hold, before carrying her all the way down and dumped her in the car with a secure child lock. Gosh, it was a sight to see her cheeks puffed up as she had tried to look vicious and had just looked cute.

He had laughed when she panted like a fish, after deflating her two bubbles, leaving a tinge of red on her cheeks.

But now... Nathaniel glanced at Vanessa, who had not lift her eyes from the window, ever since the incident and had ignored his entire existence.

Vanessa felt the car slowed down, till it stopped and twitched as the engine of the car turned off.

”Vinni.”

She shifted on her seat uneasily, but refused to respond and kept her eyes on the wide spread forest.

”Look up.”

Vanessa shifted again and very slowly raise her head up slowly and looked out of the windshield of the car, before she stilled in shock.

The bright tinted lights shimmered in her eyes as she gazed out of the window in awe and her lips twitched in a beautiful smile.

The Carnival.

The passenger door clicked open and Vanessa turned to look at his outstretched hand in surprise. She had not even heard him move...

”Let's go.”

Vanessa giggled in utmost delight as she put her hand in his and let him pull her out of the car, before the two hurried towards the entry of the carnival, hand in hand.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Vanessa gazed at the closed door with wary and ignored the shredder beside her, who had nearly shredded the half of her poor nails.
My condolences blue coloured fibres.....
There, there, look who is back? Vanessa welcomed the nagging voice of her brain as if she was her best friend, instead of Carl, who always appeared when she was in trouble. Just to enjoy a bloody good show....
Thanks!
Vanessa sighed. Female dog.
Silence.
Vanessa muttered a prayer of thanks under her breath and received more cutting and shredding in response. So, she took it upon herself to be a man and knocked.
But wait, she is not a man, she is a woman.....
.... who had disguised herself in a fake bubble.
.... who had her boss hear them talk about his ex-lover.
..... who was officially her fianceè.
.... who had taken her to the carnival last night.
.... who had once again eaten Vanilla ice cream, because of his allergy.
.... who had taken her first kiss in the giant ferris wheel.
Vanessa unknowingly blushed as she remembered the sweet kiss.
She remembered how she was viewing the beautiful sights of London from the Ferris wheel and had felt his gaze on her.
She remembered how he had trapped her against the wall behind her.
She remembered how she had blushed when he smiled sinisterly as he had stared at her lips.
She remembered how he had kissed her, as soft as a feather, as sweet as a strawberry as his lips had moved against her tenderly.
She remembered how flushed she looked, when she panted against his chest like a fish.
She remembered how he had chuckled and had called her adorable little flower.
She remembered everything, every little thing.
