As Sora said to Renji that he will do something about Rukia, the snakes moved towards them.

Renji: ”Then i will deal with the snakes.”

Sora started moving towards the machine as Renji activated his Bankai and sent Hihiō Zabimaru towards the snakes.

While Hihiō Zabimaru started bitting one of the snakes, Rukia vanished appearing behind Sora who knew all her attack patterns before turning his head and smiled at her.

Rukia slashed at him, creating a torrent of dark Reiatsu which tried to blast him away but Sora felt nothing from it.
