Just as Weiss was about to bring Lilith home, Elena ran to him and hugged him, causing Weiss to be at a loss.
Lilith, who was beside him, was speechless. “You’re really lucky with women.”
Weiss could only smile wryly as he led Lilith into the car.
Would he not understand Elena’s feelings? He did like Elena. It was Elena who had helped him the most before he had the system. He was not a heartless man.
However, he was destined to fight against the Black Deity. If anything were to happen, he would be letting Elena down. It was better to stay away from her from now on. This was the best choice for her.
Weiss just watched Elena run away, silent.
Lilith pursed her lips. She had seen countless such examples over the course of countless years and was already used to it.
Weiss asked Lilith.
“How did you determine that the Sword in the Stone is in New York City?”
Lilith answered:
“I had someone take me around New York City. It only reacts when the scabbard is nearby.”
Lilith paused then said,
“It is possible that the Sword in the Stone has been isolated somewhere and its reaction is very weak.”
Weiss drove Lilith around New York City but Lilith’s scabbard didn’t react at all.
Both of them were puzzled. Lilith even patted her scabbard twice and said doubtfully,
“It doesn’t look like it’s broken.”
All Weiss wanted to say was that he could see a chicken feather in this way. Then he pondered for a moment. It was right in New York City. It was probably in the wrong general direction.
So he said to Lilith,
“Do you want to go to the suburbs to take a look? If there’s nothing in the suburbs, we can take a look tomorrow.”
Weiss and the others had been in New York City for nearly eight hours and it was now one in the morning.
Lilith had no choice but to agree with Weiss and go to the suburbs.
There was no light in the suburbs of New York City. There was no one on the wide road.
Only the screams of the men from the public toilet could be heard. Lilith asked curiously,
“Do all men like to play like this nowadays? I’ve learned something!”
Weiss could only smile. This kind of thing might only be fun for the parties involved but not for the spectators.
Soon, after spinning for a long time, the scabbard began to point in one direction. Weiss and Lilith immediately became excited.
After searching for an entire night, they finally had some results.
After parking the car by the side of the road, Weiss envisioned the road under the car and buried it underground. He didn’t want to see the car stolen or put up with a ticket once he got out. That wouldn’t be good.
Lilith hugged the scabbard and the two of them slowly searched. In the dark environment, Lilith didn’t even dare to breathe.
Suddenly, the scabbard pointed to the ground. Weiss and Lilith looked at each other. They had found the place. Lilith said:
“Should we look for a trap or entrance nearby?”
Weiss waved his hand and said.
“There’s no need to go through so much trouble.”
Then, she waved her hand and a huge hole appeared in the ground. Lilith fell down before she could react and shouted.
“Weiss, save me!”
Weiss jumped into it. Just as Lilith was about to land on the silver dome, Weiss caught her and gently landed on the dome.
Lilith was almost scared to death. It was true that she was a vampire but in this unprepared situation, she could not even transform into a bat.
Weiss said to the pale Lilith:
“Shh!”
