5 Sweethearts 5 (1/2)
In the evening, when Peach's mother came home from work, she saw Peach sitting earnestly on a stool while waiting for her. When Peach spotted her mother, her face lit up.
”Peach, why are you sitting in the front yard?” Peach's mother asked as she stopped her bicycle and leaned it against the wall of the yard. She then strolled over to hold Peach's hand and headed into the house with her.
”Mom, I want to go to kindergarten too,” Peach insisted while looking at her mother earnestly.
”You?” Peach's mother chortled, ”You're only two years old, no kindergarten will take you in.”
”I don't care. I just want to go,” Peach demanded.
”Why?”
”Because my husband is there and I want to be with him,” Peach explained, her doe eyes glistened and she had a look on her face that said that her decision was irrefutable.
Hearing her explanation, Peach's mother once again felt like her daughter no longer belonged to her.
Over dinner, Peach's parents discussed sending Peach to kindergarten. They felt that Peach was still too young and would not be able to take care of herself in kindergarten. Hence, they agreed to evaluate the situation again the following year.
However, Peach refused to give in. Seeing that they were unwilling to accede to her demands, she burst into tears once again.
This time, she bawled at the top of her lungs. It was so loud that everyone could hear.
Curious about the noise, their neighbours soon surrounded them, wondering if Peach's parents had abused her.
