Chapter 40 - Detention (1/2)
The gelid night on the Academy was not usual, not once that strange freezing temperature had hit a summer's day exactly in the evening. The abnormal phenomenon will be recorded in history as the most strange day in the Academy. Though, the cause of the strange snowstorm in the middle of the hottest station was because of the crazy experiments of the Wizardly tower faculty, where a certain Wizard Druon was asked to create a distraction at any cost.
He did it without questioning any word, though, they didn't have to threaten him at all. He was going to cause a disaster anyway. The many reprimands from the Principal to his faculty were already being recorded in a strange black book of records, it was not a good book though, not when the Principal was looking extremely resentful while writing on it.
”Vin, what do you think they are going to do? *cough*,” Wizard Druon was now experiencing the worst cold he could ever have. He was tucked under his cover in his fluffy bed looking at the window, the storm he created was amazing. Though he was a medic, and that cold was nothing for a great wizard like him. He decided to rest for a day.
The truth, though, was that he didn't want to go to the annual wizardly forum the next day. However, any excuse he gave, the uptight Principal of the Academy rejected them all.
First, this wizard told his whole clothes were ruined, that he had eaten so many fruit tarts that no one of his clothes fitted him anymore. No worries, the Principal will help him. No more pastries for the Wizard, ever.
Second, he trapped himself in his room. No keys would ever open the door for him. However, a bomb from the Engineering department experimental program would and could.
Third, Gandalf's birthday is around the corner. Wizard Druon swore to prepare a big party to celebrate his beautiful arrival to this world. Yes, that was the best excuse ever, so Principal Robinson changed the party to the big hall and transformed it into an auction event to fund the new projects of the several faculties, especially the engineering faculty.
In the end, only a snowstorm and a severe cold could placate the Principal. However, somehow the same day he found that a couple of teenagers had made their way towards his tower. How can they climb such a tall place from the window? Well, he didn't ask. He didn't dare. The only thing he could do was to give up his right to choose if to help them or not.
The intense snowstorm prevented anyone from going out, no students, no teachers, no employees of the cafeteria. No one. It was their chance.
One pair of red eyes looked at another pair of red eyes. Then they nodded at each other in acknowledgment. They moved stealthily to the cafeteria's kitchen where the cakes and pastries were stored.
Then a girl with golden hair and a pair of beautiful blue eyes climbed some stairs with the help of an attractive tomato… boy called Ilian. They were helping with the most important task of the day, to deliver a message.
The snow was falling outside making the ones walking outside travel faster from the residents' dormitories to the main hall of the Academy. They all were convoked to a secret reunion. The one leading them was an attractive knight with emerald eyes. They were asked to wear masks to cover their faces and conceal their true identities.
”Oh Hello Henry, where are you…”
”Shhhh…”
A boy of almost twelve years old was rehearsing on the school pipe organ a strange song that the most outstanding Princess had composed. The chorus from the Leonor and Ellen clubs were battling to see who had the best abilities. Eliot was now scared of the powerful pressure on his shoulders.
”Are you ready?”
Anne directed the group of students to hide on one side of the hall. No sound had to be made, not a single move can come out of their bodies. Their shadows had to unite in one and their voices had to be muted.
