Chapter 66 - Find the spy (part 1) (1/2)
”Please, Moira, I can explain, I swear. ”
Moira furrowed her brows and tapped on the ground. She was visibly angry, her expression was not the usual indifferent and calm one but the kind of mad one that only James could notice. He was scared of that type of face the most. No one knows it but when she gets really frustrated, she tends to make more cakes to alleviate her frustration, and the poor stomach of James would be the one to suffer.
'What happened?' she signaled with furious movements and waited to hear his explanation. James gulped and his face started to grow pale. He didn't want to confront his dear bride as he was scared of what could happen next.
The terrible events that followed his visit to the town were so awful and strange that he wanted to keep them hidden for eternity. However, those same events disturbed the heart of his dear bride, though, it was not his fault… it was the fault of someone else, but he didn't want to involve that person… or the consequences would be terrible.
'Then…?'
James sighed and grabbed the hand of his beautiful girl. He was grateful that she didn't reject him. Then he led her to sit together… in the same chair as she was hugging him from the neck. They were in his room, so he didn't feel so shy with her little imitations of the Princess, though, he didn't hate it, not at all.
”The thing… the thing started when the Principal, Adam Robinson came to our training class the day before to tell us some news… sigh… more like he forced us to do his biddings…”
[POV: Jame's version of the events…]
I woke up as always when the very first bell from the residence tower rang. I tried to wake up Ilian, but he was still in a daze from his date with Rose. Although I don't know what were they doing for the whole evening, I know the idiot won't go any further with that shy coward attitude of him. Well, that and Aiden's disciple following them from behind was also a great help for Ilian, if not he had run away from the pressure.
Well, then… I took a shower and dressed to go to the council room first thing in the morning. The many reports I had to give the Academy management about the festival were enough to fill an entire room. Princess Anne really went over the budget this time. Fortunately, the VinDev company financed the rest of the club's shows and any expenses from any kind of damage. Though, my father was the one to pay for the damages to the auditorium…
Anyway, I went to the club and as I was feeling frustrated after a few hours without any help, I went to the training camps to let out some steam before returning to the office.
I know… I know… you were with Princess Anne, I don't blame you for not helping me.
Then as I went to the camp, I found that the idiot Ilian was already there battling with Henry.
”I will win this time!” Ilian was shouting with strange energy coming from his body. What a hopeless idiot, hehe, just because he had dinner with Rose, he thinks of himself as the happiest man of them all… if he knew that title already belonged to me, he will get so jealous…
*sound of a kiss*
Moira… *blush*, please… if you want to interrupt me, then… then… we can forget all of this.
Oh… okay, then let's continue, just don't furrow your brow, I don't want to see you mad at me, though you look cute… *sound of a kiss*
I am on cloud nine… my dear angel… *sound of a kiss*
My sunshine… *sound of a kiss*
Moira, stop, if we continue, we will get in trouble. You know that girls are not allowed inside this tower. If we were to be found…
'…' Okay, I know that they already know but…
*cough*
Anyway, back to the story, I was watching the useless battle when the Principal appeared from behind. I don't know how he does it. It is not as if he were a magician, but I think he is using secret passages and underground tunnels.
Do you know about them, Moira?
