Chapter 80 - We die once, we live every day (1/2)
[Tom Owen,
Once upon a time, there was a village on the south of Lith, called Voldern. People of humble lives and simple jobs inhabited that little town. Farms, mines, camps, people who lived from agriculture, farming, or even some fishing from the colliding ocean traveled and stayed in those peaceful lands.
However, as entertainment could also be a form of peace, they were also famous for their great circus company and their wandering shows troops that had traveled to many lands. Some of them even reached foreign countries, and, of course, the Capital of Lith.
One day, as they kept wandering and waiting for their great show in the Capital of Dulein, they had to stop when the tragedy came uninvited into their carts. A few days ago, the Master of the Circus prepared their best spectacle with the clowns and their funny acts, their impressive and brave acrobats, their skilled jugglers, and the powerful magicians, but they came across an unfortunate accident. Fire.
The brazing flames of a magical fire consumed most of the valuable items of the circus, the carps, the carts, the posts, and even the lives of some of the most skilled artists of the show and their master, their leader and boss, Gerry Owen.
Not long after his death, the rest of the troop went to different paths as they were now without a leader, or money to survive, and with debt collectors at their doors. However, before they flew, they took the valuable things they could find from the circus' possessions and sold them without permission from the young boy, yes, from Tom Owen, the son and rightful heir of Gerry Owen.
However, the disgrace and misfortune didn't stop at that, the shameless people that didn't find anything valuable to sell, took the child, the beautiful child that was as beautiful as any little fairy, their intention was to sell him into slavery.
Then… they found their demise. From the comments and rumors of the ones that witnessed the fall of the Moon Circus, they told us with a bit of a push, and fright, that the fire was started by some workers of the Circus. They wanted to be paid more and have more benefits, though, they hadn't worked in the show for more than six months.
They got mad and started the fire, then they took the child, Tom with them to sell him into an auction house. However, a woman, an elder woman that knew well the kid, could almost swear that she had searched for the boy in the fire and found him fainted and dead. He was not breathing.
She stayed with the body for a few minutes till her son separated from him. Thus, she didn't know how the little Tom could come to life again,
It was said that only a powerful magician could invoke such a barrier, and only he could take it down…]
”This is impressive,” Anne was in her clubroom with Eliot and Tia registering the new members. There was a long line reaching the next tower.
'He is a powerful magician,' Moria signaled as she kept eating a pudding that her fiancée had made for her. However, the eyes of Gandalf were making shiver and regret opening the sweet dessert in front of him.
It was going to be a difficult battle to say no to those eyes, but she had a strong heart, she must resist.
”Moira, why are you giving the dessert your dear fiancée prepared with so much care to Gandalf?”
Jame had entered the room just when Moira's hand had lowered the pudding to the soft fluffy white dog. 'How did he do that?'
She can't believe that someone was more powerful than her in controlling minds. Then she looked at her Master Anne that was still sipping her tea with the reports on her hands. She could never underestimate the ones around her Master, not even her beautiful dog.
'James, why are you giving Gandalf a cookie?'
”What?!” James' hand was already lowering one of the cookies he had baked with love to his fiancée to the fluffy white dog. ”How did this happen?”
Moira nodded in understanding. 'He is too powerful… sigh.'
[After some years, no one knew about the little boy's whereabouts, however, one day, the Academy's main admission exam room appeared a little kid, with big eyes and great spirit. He was a bit scared, but he entered even with his tattered clothes.
”I want to take the exam!”
He said, almost screamed. Then as the majestic and charismatic Principal, he thought he was, Adam Robinson said to the boy, ”Get out, and come when you have more years on your shoulders, kid.”
However, the little boy didn't go back but stayed in the room and his aura came out from his body wrapping the whole room. It was an impressive show of magic power, so powerful that it could be comparable to any magician or wizard from the most impressive tier.
One second later, he was admitted to the Academy as a scholarship student. However, his main purpose was not to be admitted into a school of high standing, nor to have someone to teach him how to control his powers, as he already knew how, but something else.
