Chapter 91 - Revenge (1/2)

”I am sorry, my princess,” Billie visited the infirmary for the second time that day.

He was pressured by the angry eyes of his beloved John and, of course, the many fans of the princess even in his own faculty.

However, the naughty, spoiled, and proud Princess Anne du Lith, didn't let the man get away without trashing him with her evil words.

”Humph,” she turned around with her arms crossed.

”Please, my princess, forgive me, I beg you,” Billie was having an internal conflict.

One angel was telling him to try harder, that the princess was only sad about his harsh words, and he should think about putting himself in her shoes. However, there was another little angel that had fallen to the depths of darkness and naughty thoughts. He was telling Billie that he should not concern himself with the spoiled girl. He should even bring some fruit tarts and chocolate cakes with him to the infirmary and eat them in front of her.

Then he will laugh at the spoiled princess, ”Muahahaha,” he will imitate her and his revenge will be so sweet.

”Billie!” John couldn't help but yell at the blonde with a ponytail that could be as handsome as an angel if not for the hands rubbing and the grin on his face. How can John not understand what is that boy thinking and plotting?

”My dear Princess, please don't be sad,” the caring words of John startled Billie. Now he was afraid… or more like jealous.

John had been overly attentive to this little princess. Even more, they had spent some time together talking about magic and economics, topics Billie couldn't even grasp.

”Is his fault,” the princess said with a pout. ”He was the one who started it.”

”That… that is not true,” Billie tried to say, but only a glare of his beloved was returned, ”John, that…”

”Don't worry, my dear princess,” John said with a gentle and soft voice that made Billie regret coming inside that infirmary room, ”I will make sure to teach him a lesson later.”

Billie could only gulp and try harder to beg for forgiveness from the little princess.

”I am sorry,” Billie started to say again and was considering the possibility of kneeling down. ”Please forgive me, my princess, I didn't mean the words I said before.”

He was now truly understanding the pain of their beloved taken away by some foreign circumstances, namely the distance, or a new competitor like a princess. If this continued and John spent more time with the outstanding princess, then… then what if he ditched him.

”I understand,” Anne said and nodded, then she looked away in a melancholy stare.

Any of the presents would think she was missing her dear Henry, and they will be right, but there is something more she was craving right now, her forbidden delight, her fruit tart.

[…

General Levy was not someone ordinary, not at all, he could be described with the words of bravery and faithful leader. He was also a swordmaster and an extraordinary knight that could rival any of the Halse first fighters, even the King himself.

However, even with that powerful strength, he was no different from an ant if an army was sent to destroy his own unprevented knights. He did everything he could to save them, but it was not enough.

The only one to survive among all those bodies was the little baby that was hidden inside a basket. He didn't make a crying sound, not even when the enemy soldiers entered the battling camp.

General Levy took the baby, his son into his arms and promised that he will take care of him as the best father. He will never let him face any difficulty and will keep him protected.

That went on for so many years until again the fate and the curse of betrayal landed in the New town of Halse.]

”Billie,” John stepped outside the infirmary room when the Princess finally stop sighing and drawing fruit tarts on every page of his economics report.

”What is it?” Billie turned around with a bit of a long face and a frown on his forehead, ”aren't you having a good time with your new friend?”

”Sigh… Billie, why are you sulking about?”

”Don't you know?” Billie crossed his arms and was about to turn around when some magic bubble captured him.

”Stop it,” Billie tried to break the bubble, but some arms around his waist stopped him.

He felt as if his heart was beating again for the first time, and the warmth of happiness landed in his body again. It was the kind of feeling he will never forget and will always crave.

”Don't be mad, okay?” the soft voice of John was always the best medicine to any of his pouts and discomforts. There has never been a time were those whispers didn't manage to calm him down. Not even when they first met.

”I am not mad,” Billie said and continued to pout.
