Chapter 124 - BFF Forever (1/2)

”Yanee, you're back!”

Cynthia Tan came bouncing towards the door as soon as Yanee stepped in the office. Tohru had to make some phone calls and secure her flight tickets so he asked her to go inside first which was good for Yanee. Why?

Because she wanted to drag someone at the corner somewhere to scold her.

”Yes, I am,”Yanee retorted with a glare and she quickly pulled Chummy towards the inner office.

They went inside Tohru's office first so they could go to the resting area within where she slept and took a bath last time. As soon as Yanee closed the door, she attacked Chummy with pinches on her sides.

”Waaaah!”Chummy squealed as she tried to evade the pinches to no avail.

Yanee was a pro-level pincher.

”Hey! Stop Stop— I surrender general,” Chummy laughed and cried at the same time as she wiggled away from Yanee's merciless hands.

In the end, the pinching stopped and Yanee went on a tickling attack that reduced Chummy into a giggling pool on the floor.

”I give up! I surrender,” she gasped.

Satisfied at her handiwork, Yanee finally relented and even helped Chummy up and ushered her onto the sofa.

”What happened?” Chummy asked amidst tears.

When she laughed a lot she cried as well. It's a forever combo. She took out a hanky and dabbed at the corners of her eyes.

”What did I do to merit the ultimate Yanee Lee brand of punishment?” she added as she looked at Yanee who continued to pout at her.

”What do you think?”Yanee countered, narrowing her eyes at her friend who tried her best to look innocent.

”Er… You didn't like the undėrwėȧr I packed for you?” she asked and Yanee almost snorted. ”I swear I just folded them and placed them in the luggage. Ami was the one who took them from your drawers.”

Urgh…

Yanee wondered how the conversation turned to be this weird. She decided to be a bit direct.

”Did you or did you not talk about me with the boss?” she asked her pointedly.

”Ah…”Chummy placed a hand to cover her mouth, but Yanee already saw the amused twitch of her lips and she raised a brow.

She was not really mad at Chummy. She just wanted to give her a hard time to pay back for all the brain malfunction moments she suffered since Tohru confessed to her.

”So?”she prompted and Chummy squirmed with a sheepish smile as she placed her hands on her ŀȧp.

”Well…” she started as she obviously fought breaking into a smile.

”Cynthia Tan a.k.a. Chummy a.k.a. ex-BFF,”Yanee recited making the other panic as she reached out to pull her arm.

”Aplained with a pout as she rubbed her cheeks before letting out a heavy sigh, looking forlorn. ”I was just thinking that it's waste.”

”What is a waste?”Yanee didn't understand.

”You and boss,” Chummy answered matter-of-factly. ”You both look good together. Like I said, he seems to seriously like you, you know. I was hoping you'd get it on and start dating him.”

Yanee's curiosity doubled.

”Why do you want me to date him seriously?” she wondered.

”Because I'm the best BFF Forever out there and I have this huuuuuuge feeling that he will treasure you. Who wouldn't be sad about this?”

Chummy looked all out depressed now and Yanee was about to pat her and ȧssure her that it's fine when the girl bounced back on her own.
