Chapter 12 - Terrible (1) (2/2)

”How was the parade Armin? Did they win?”

Seeing Armin looking a bit troubled, I knew something probably happened to the scout. Spreading out my power, I try to see the life energies of these Survey Corps members. This energy, which I dubbed as the MAA energy, which stands for Mikasa Athanatos Ackerman, is the basis of my power. I'm a genius. Definitely. This energy can do just about anything. I don't think there's nothing I can do. As long as I will it, I can do amazing things. Of course, I would never use this power to do evil things, like peeking. Definitely not. I'm innocent. I swear.

Oh... besides a small group of people, almost everyone's vitality is drained. It seems there are only about 150 people left. I don't think an army with a size that small can even be called a regiment.

(A/N I don't know the exact number. I just made an educated guess. In the wiki, it said that an expedition usually only has 300 members and since this expedition is quite bad, I made a guess that only half of the members survive.)

---------------------------------

Oh... It's even worse than I thought. As expected, most are injured, one way or another. But the mood is so damn depressing, it's making me wanna vomit. In front of me was the scene of an old lady weeping over the loss of her son. She tightly held the remaining arm as if it was the most precious thing left on Earth. I feel kind of sad. If my family was ever killed, I would be mad too. I might just destroy this world... I know I can.

I then turned to look at Eren's face. I can see traces of confusion and disappointment in his eyes. He must have taken a hit into the heart. His teeth were clenching while and his expression was serious. He seemed even more determined to go outside? What an idiot...

I wonder if the outside were really as dangerous as they are saying. During these past months, I have been going outside the wall to check the strength of these so-called Titan. Of course, I was extremely disappointed. Besides their crazy regeneration, there's nothing really special about them. I tried dissecting one for fun but most of its organs are useless.

There were only two noteworthy spots inside a titan. The nape and the spinal cord. Inside the nape, I can feel a strong life force. It feels really similar to a normal human, was they originally one? However, for some reason, the energy signature coming from Dr. Yeager is extremely similar but his is definitely superior.

The second part I tested was the spinal fluid. I can feel a curse lingering within that liquid-like thing. It seems like the purpose of the curse was to alter the life force of something, probably human. I think this is how titans are made. The curse wasn't also that hard to dispel. I tested it on one of my subject but I killed not soon after since she went crazy. I tried ingesting one to see if it's anything was special, but the curse was immediately neutralized by me and I... seem to gain nothing. Well, it doesn't really matter, it's not like I can't transform.

Who the f**k created this thing? So inefficient. Organs are useless. It's there just to serve as useless weight. Besides making it heavier, there's nothing special about these organs. The nape is also very easy to target but it serves the core of the titan. Why not put the core in the heart or something? That will make it infinitely harder to kill. What a trashy creation. I'm quite speechless as to what kind of creature was so dumb to create this such a being.

But it seem I underestimate these titans. They totally destroyed this Survey Corps...
