And throughout the entire night, the three shadowy figures visited countless noblemen's estates. For each place, they would do the same thing all over again. The two cloaked girls would knock out all the guards, while the boy who was wearing the same outfit but with a demonic mask, would be in charge of changing all of their memories.

These unfortunate men, or maybe fortunately, had their personas converted into a completely different person. They all became more benevolent, unlike their previous personality, which was corrupted to the core.

There are many good reasons why the boy didn't just kill all of these people instead. The first reason is it would cause mass hysteria within the wall, which would create a lot of unnecessary problems. The second is that, even though these people are corrupted, their skills at managing others is almost honed to perfection. It would take an average of at least more than 10 years for a nobleman to know how to control an estate, manage his own business, or be involved in politics. So, if these people were killed, there would be a shortage of skilled noblemen to fill their gaps, which would be a huge problem for the citizens within the wall.

Now that they are converted, they are the perfect pawns for Athanatos to use. He will have total obedience and loyalty from the majority of the noblemen, allowing him to make any decisions he wanted without doing much himself. Of course, this would only happen when he would actually be interested in governing others, but looking at his personality, it would be nigh impossible for him to do so.

And thus, after just 2 days, the young troupe managed to complete all of their objectives, which included 90% of all noblemen within Wall Sina.

(Reiss' estate)

”Frieda... I know you're not a bad person, but you better make a decision quickly, or else I'm going to kill you and all of the Reiss family.”

Frieda, who earlier, was just sleeping soundly, was now forced to be awake.

In front of her, there were 3 little figures that were dressed in a black cloak. The two figures in the back, which she could discern was female, while the one in front was a male, but his face was covered with a demon-like mask. Of course, their height was too short and from the voice of the boy, she could tell that they were actually quite young.

Yet, contrary to their appearance, they were very strong. None of her abilities even showed any sign of activation. She couldn't alter these people's memories, which unless you belonged to the Oriental race, or the Ackermann, should be able to work against all Subjects of Yimir. But she can tell that one of the girls didn't belong to such exception, which means her ability should at least work but it didn't. And when she tried to transform into her titan form, the connection that she had with Ymir Fritz was suddenly cut off, which essentially made her a normal human. No, she was even weaker than the average person.

”Why are you doing this?”

”To make the world better... but you're in the way. Now, are you going to alter the Reiss memories yourself or let me do it for you? You can pick neither and I will wipe out everything the Reiss had. Regardless, I'm going to take away your power. People are dying because of your cowardice.”

”What's wrong with my decision?! I just wanted everyone to atone for our ancestor's sin, what's wrong with that?!”

Then the boy tilted his head a little. If one could see his expression right now, they would see a face full of disbelief and confusion.

”Are you serious...? For such a dumb f**king reason, you let hundreds of thousands died? Just to atone for the sin of some retards living thousands of years ago? If it's anyone, it's you guys! Don't blame others! Now you just pissed me off and wasted your last chance of living. Today will be the end of the Reiss family.”

Then without any further words, the boy completely disintegrated her, and the entire mansion she resided. And within that mansion, 15 others died, including a man named was Rod Reiss, which in the original future, was responsible for many evil schemes and was almost responsible for a terrible destruction.

”Now... it's time to save someone important.”
