The next items in the auction was a D-grade combat gear set, a C-grade combat sword, and a D-grade combat shield. Jodye Trill and the others were not the least bit interested in these items. Jodye already had a mystic wand, the Vajra Scepter, and a lower B-grade Scarlet Magic Sword. Not to mention his A-grade Baleful Glaive and B-grade Evening Trickster Armor, neither of which he had used out of fear of them being coveted or recognized. After all, White Serpent Cove was rather famous in the south. As for the others, one was an alchemist, and the other was a blacksmith. Neither of them lacked combat gear.
However, to these School Deans and Minor House Lords, combat gear above the D-grade was very tempting for various reasons. They could reward some outstanding disciples, which would motivate more competitions in their respective powers. This conventional approach to cultivating warriors was utilized by many families and sects.
Soon, another ardent bidding war started, as D-grade combat gears could be considered rare below the mage ranks. Typically, only Mages or those approaching the void realms could afford to coerce a refiner into making or selling one.
Jodye took in a deep breath. He realized how expensive quality combat gear would be. Gear Refiners were probably absolutely loaded no matter where they went! A Master Gear Refiner would be respected anywhere that there are warriors. Jodye glanced at Joovee Nile and seemed to see a smirk in his eyes as their gazes locked.
”This is a rich young master!” Jodye Trill lamented in his heart. Joovee Nile was a Master Gear Refiner, someone who could refine incredible and excellent equipment. Refining combat gear was easy for him. In addition to his reputation, his refined stuff would only sell for more.
Jodye suddenly felt that the wealth he currently possessed, in the face of these two tycoons, was absolutely nothing. Joovee Nile, just by selling the mask on his face would make more wealth than what Jodye had seen over his two lives. This auction was merely a low-level one at that. After all, the Purple-Sky Clan was only a third rank power.
”Big bro Joovee, how long does it take for you to refine D-grade combat gear?” asked Jodye Trill out of curiosity. He prepared his heart for the impact of the response.
”I think the most time it would take shouldn't exceed a week, and my fastest speed is one day! However, I haven't refined any since I reached the B-grade,” replied the cold voice of Joovee Nile casually.Jodye had prepared his heart but still took quite the blow from this news. It only takes a day to refine 20 million silver crystal notes. How amazing!
Of course, Jodye received far more than this in a single day by being a bandit. But was robbing a sure-fire way to make money? Of course not. More often than not, it would lead to life-threatening situations. If Jodye could make money on his own, then would he need to take such risks?
”In Joovee's organization, there are six amazing blacksmiths, and most public orders are taken by them,” Sigma Octanis explained to Jodye patiently. ”The Neofrost Master only refines High C-grade combat gear or better. He's aiming to reach the Grand Refiner stage before he turns 30 years old.”
”Tsk, 30 years old? Try 22 years old, at the most!” snapped Joovee Nile.
