”I haven't heard from you for a couple of days. Are you mad?”, Hannah asked Seo Joon as soon as she entered his office.

”Why would I be mad?”

”I don't know. I'm asking you.”

Seo Joon just shrugged.

”Really? Shrugging? You left right away that day, you didn't even give me the chance to clarify. I wasn't on a date with Shawn.”

”Oh, so his name is Shawn?”

Hannah rolled her eyes, ”Yes, but that's not the point. We're just friends, he came to the country a few days ago and we just-”

”You don't really have to explain, Han… you're single, you can date.”, he said with a smiling face.

Hannah's brows furrowed, she came to clear things up but it seems Seo Joon wants to keep having misunderstandings. 'You wanna stay like this? Fine. Why do I even bother?', she sneered in her thoughts.

”You're right, I can!”, she turned around and left his office.

Seo Joon clenched his jaw and cast the papers off the table. He was more pissed with himself for being an idiot than he was annoyed with Hannah.

Country D at Samantha's villa late in the evening.

”Yes, sure. All right. See you.”

Daniel just ended the phone call with Lucas, he returned to the bedroom and found Samantha working on her laptop.

”What are you doing?”, he asked, his hands massaging Samantha's back.

”Just transferring some files from my phone. Who was that?”

”It was Lucas, he's inviting us for a charity gala tomorrow evening.”

”Really? Boss of the underworld does charity?”, she lifted her head to look at, she was surprised.

Daniel chuckled, ”Yeah, they've been doing it for years. It's for cancer patients. His mom died of cancer.”

Samantha now understood, ”What did you say?”

”I told him we're going.”

”We are?”

”Why not? You don't… wanna go?”

Looking back, Samantha's really uncomfortable being in a crowded place. She didn't respond to his question and Daniel has just realized what she's thinking at the moment.

Stroking her cheeks, he tried to comfort her, ”I wasn't thinking… I can cancel if you don't want to…”

”No, it's okay… We'll go.”

”Are you sure? Wouldn't you be uneasy? There will surely be… media.”

”I'll be fine. You're with me.”, her eyes twinkled as she looked up at him.

Daniel smiled, ”That's right, I am.”, he leaned down to kiss her on the nose.

”So… are you gonna show me what those are?”, he said, pointing at the video files on the screen.

Samantha played a video, it was her on her first skydiving experience. She showed it to Daniel and he was grinning the entire duration of the video. He truly enjoyed watching her as she faced her fears and looking very elated.

”What are you thinking about?”

”Nothing.”

Daniel watched a few other videos from her list and saw how Samantha captured beautiful places, and she was documenting the scenery, talking to the camera from time to time. Sometimes she addresses Mia. Some were about local food and some random things. She was a natural, she smiled and described everything in detail that Daniel felt like he was there with her, seeing what she sees, tasting what she eats and feeling what she experienced.

While Daniel was watching her videos, Samantha took a bath and when she was done changing into her sleepwear, she went over to him. ”Are you still watching?”, she chuckled.

”Yeah… they're really good. You've got skills.”, he said as he pulled her to him and helped her dry her hair with the towel.

Samantha sat down in front of her laptop again, ”Really? I didn't do so much… I just took pictures and videos of random things.”

”What are you going to do with these videos?”

Samantha pursed her lips and lifted her head to look at Daniel, ”I..”

Daniel stopped drying her hair and sat down beside her. ”Tell me... What is it?”

”I wanna give this to Mia.”
