Volume 5 Chapter 36 - The Frestech Chamber of Commerce that couldn’t be avoided (1/2)

Ambassador Hakanin was just passing by Noxus Town.

Being led by manager Gnar, they had lunch at a restaurant that had only been open in the town for half a month before ambassador Hakanin and vice chairman Riley headed off on the road to the Candra Empire again.

Vice chairman Riley was going with ambassador Hakanin to the Candra Empire’s capital Wimbledon City to see the ministers of the Candra Empire.

The Amrit Chamber of Commerce using the relationship of ambassador Hakanin wanted to let the Candra Empire realize the convenience and necessity of roads, allowing them to pave roads all over the Candra Empire.

According to the plan, if everyone went smoothly, in a year and a half when the Amrit Chamber of Commerce finished paving roads in the Norton Duchy, the Amrit Chamber of commerce would begin working with the Candra Empire. They could take advantage of the opportunity to enter the Candra Empire and continue paving roads.

But that was for a year and a half later, manager Gnar didn’t need to worry about that now.

After sending off ambassador Hakanin and vice chairman Riley, manager Gnar went to the Clear Mirror Lake to the northwest of Noxus Town.

Not far from the entrance of the Anfield River on the Clear Mirror Lake was a small wharf. That place was used to dock ships that came to the Clear Mirror Lake from the Mirando River, as well as ships that came downstream from the Anfield River.

But three months ago, which was before the Amrit Chamber of Commerce came to the Norton Duchy to pave roads, there was a fleet that came from the Mirando Duchy. They completely changed this wharf and made it ten times bigger.

These days, most of the construction materials the Amrit Chamber of Commerce used in paving the roads, other than coming from the road that they already paved from the Mirando Duchy, most of it came down the Mirando River and reached this wharf.

This time manager Gnar came on the day that a bunch of new construction material was coming in.

But when he arrived at the wharf, he was surprised to find that there was a large fleet coming across the Clear Mirror Lake with over ten large boats.

What made him even more surprised was that the fleet consisted of the medium sized Magic Boat that the Frestech Chamber of Commerce only developed four months ago and hadn’t advertised yet.

This medium Magic Boat had a much bigger capacity than the normal wooden boats and was several times faster. Once it was promoted, it was immediately welcomed by all the water transport companies in the surrounding countries.

However, the only company that could receive this medium Magic Boat was currently only the Lampuri Kingdom’s Porter Chamber of Commerce.

After the Porter Chamber of Commerce ordered thirty of these medium Magic Boats, they had quickly taken most of the Lampuri Kingdom’s water transport business in just a few months. Right now, they went from a small company of Banta City that was close to closing down to a first class company of the Lampuri Kingdom.

When the Amrit Chamber of Commerce transporter their construction materials, because of how far away it was, they had the Porter Chamber of Commerce deliver it for them, so manager Gnar wasn’t surprised to see them.

But they didn’t ship that much construction material each time, it only took one or at most two medium Magic Boats to transport it all. Why were there suddenly over twenty boats that arrived?

It had to be known, the Porter Chamber of Commerce only had a total of thirty Magic Boats. If they sent over twenty out at once, wasn’t that equal to sending almost all of their transport forces out?

As a water transport company, would they be so unintelligent?

Manager Gnar was confused as he looked at the waves on the Clear Water Lake and the fleet as it quickly approached.

When the fleet reached the wharf, the first medium Magic Boat anchored and several people came down who made manager Gnar even more confused.

He recognized the two in front, they were the ones in charge of the Amrit Chamber of Commerce’s transport each time. As for the ones following behind those two, they were clearly not from the Amrit Chamber of Commerce.

What was even more incredible was that after this group came down, there were actually two dwarves and one elf among them!

Manager Gnar looked at the two dwarves and the male elf with wide eyes as his heart filled with doubt.

Although because of the Frestech Chamber of Commerce acting as a model, the companies of the Lampuri Kingdom and the surrounding kingdoms were accepting over races into their companies, he had never heard of an elf joining a human company other than the Frestech Chamber of Commerce.

The clothes that the elf and the two dwarves wore were of different sizes, but whether it was their design or colour, they were clearly the same uniform.

Adding in the half wing symbol on their chest, it was clear these three came from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce.

But…..Why did people from the Frestech Chamber of Commerce come here for?

Didn’t the rumours say that because of the Frestech Chamber of Commerce’s strike, as well as their mass layoffs, the Norton Duchy had lost faith in the Frestech Chamber of Commerce and gave up cooperating with them? Didn’t they turn to other companies of the Lampuri Kingdom to cooperate with?
