265 Team Ryn forever and ever (2/2)

”Well… I didn't ask you to come back,” he murmured, this time with guilty in his voice. He and his misses hated to burden their only daughter with their problem. That was why he was shocked when his wife told Ryn about his high blood pressure problem.

And he repeated back his displeasure at his wife when they were alone in the bedroom last night after both were shocked seeing their daughter came with her ex-boyfriend without warning.

”You have some sleep. I will wake you up when the doctor calls me,” her father said, patting her shoulder. He even took off his jacket to cover her body but she refused.

She had the sweater Jeremy gave her before the duo entered the hospital. Jeremy told her to use his sweater as it was larger and more comfortable.

And she used it without feeling awkward at all even though it belonged to her ex-boyfriend. It was an automatic action from her.

Her father watched as she slowly fallen asleep. It seemed like his daughter was exhausted. He sighed and rubbed her back to make her feel better. Then, after he patted her back a few times, he stopped and stood up.

He went to the counter and asked the women there whether they could watch over his daughter while he went somewhere. One of the nurses lifted her head to check who he meant and gave her agreement.

Then, he walked to the door, looking for someone. He looked around at the large parking lot and sighed when he saw a familiar man.

Luckily Jeremy was quite a tall man, just like his own daughter.

He made his way to his supposed to be son-in-law and paused when he saw Jeremy was talking in the phone.

He waited patiently and tapped Jeremy's shoulder once Jeremy ended the call.

”Yes, uncle? Are you done? Where is Ryn?” Jeremy asked, looking around for his love but could not find Ryn anywhere.

”I still need to see the doctor for the final diagnose,” the elder man replied with a scowl. Even though he felt sorry seeing how tired his daughter was but he was still unsatisfied when being forced to come here.

He refused to accept he needed to do full check-up just because his own daughter anxious about his own health. He was a big man and has his wife to take care of him. His daughter should just stay be a cute daughter as she was and stop 'mothering' both of them.

”Where is Ryn?” Jeremy asked.

”She's tired so I told her to sleep,” he answered and frowned, ”How long are you two going to stay here?”

Jeremy paused. How should he answer this?

”Are you going back today?” the elder man asked hopingly.

”Aren't you happy Ryn is back?” Jeremy asked back when he noticed the hope in the elder man's eyes.

”Of course I am happy. Who won't be happy to have his daughter come back? Of course, I am. But you know how Ryn is when she's worried. She's mothering her own father like I am the child,” he complained full with sulk.

”She cares about you and Aunty,” Jeremy said with a smile.

His face softened. Of course, he knew how filial his daughter was and how much they loved her but sometimes Ryn acted more like the parents than her parents.

”I know that,” he said slowly.

”Uncle, why don't we return back inside. Ryn must be worried when she wakes up and you're not there,” Jeremy said.

”Aren't you afraid you'll be recognized if you go inside,” her father cocked an eyebrow. He was a bit sceptical seeing Jeremy yesterday, knowing how popular this man in front of him was. Wasn't he afraid to be recognized by his fans? Won't the news of him being here spread like fire once someone caught his photo?

”I believe my fans will respect my private time,” Jeremy said with a grin. So far his fans respected his off time, especially when he graciously allowed them to take not one but two photos with him.

”I don't know about that,” her father murmured as both finally walked back into the hospital.

True to Jeremy's thought, Ryn was frantically looking for her father. She woke up when the nurse called her father's name loudly and upon when she opened her eyes, her father was not next to him.

”Father, where have you been?” she cried, reaching for his arms and looked at him worriedly.

Her father looked at Jeremy for help but Jeremy just shrugged. Jeremy was on a quest to woo Catherine so of course, he would not do anything that will make Ryn angry.
