”Maybe we should wait at that room?” Mei Li suggested. She did not want to leave Ryn alone. Once Jeremy has arrived, then Mei Li would leave. This restaurant, although only those who have booked the rooms could come this way but no one knew what would happen. She did not want Ryn to be left alone waiting and became a victim of any evil men.

”Yeah, sure.” Ryn drank the rest of her juice. She seemed to be craving juice lately. Maybe she was getting busy and her schedule was so hectic that her body demanded her sugary drink. Hmm... maybe later she should go and check her body. She did not want to fall sick because of exhaustion or any other sickness.

They finished their drink and then Mei Li called for the waiter. She informed about the room she booked earlier and even asked if anyone was already there.

The waiter went to check and said there was no one there. Then, she (the waiter) asked if both women wanted to go to that room to wait.

Mei Li looked at Ryn but saw how absentminded Ryn has become. Maybe, despite giving the cold look, Ryn was worried inside. Mei Li sighed at Ryn and turned to look at the waiter with a smile.

”Please lead us the way,” Mei Li asked the waiter.

The waiter nodded and walked in front. Mei Li grabbed Ryn's hand and pulled her, following behind the waiter. She was worried if she did not hold Run's hand, the younger woman would be left alone in that room, deep in her own thought.

The room she booked was at the second floor. It even has a balcony. Despite that, it was still away from others and Ryn and Jeremy could have their privacy when talking. Mei Li smiled approvingly. She did not want to comment about it looked like it was for two or three people. She did not mind that one because she would not stay there during Ryn and Jeremy's discussion. She would go straight home and sleep. Ooh... she could feel her bed was calling for her to lie down.

Please, Jeremy, come quickly so she could leave, her heart prayed.

Ryn did not say anything. She thanked the waiter with a smile and chose her chair. She sat overlooking the beranda so she could see what was going on outside. Of course, as it was already night, she could not see anything except from the road lamp. The building facing the restaurant was dark. Ryn sighed.

Mei Li took the seat opposite Ryn and pursed her lips a bit. Why was Ryn seem so... sad?

”Are you okay, Ryn?” she asked worriedly.

Ryn took a deep breath and gave a weak smile.

”If you don't have the mood to meet him, we can just cancel this meeting,” Mei Li suggested and winced. Was she crazy? She bet Jeremy was already on the way and just because of Ryn's expression, she wanted to tell Jeremy that Ryn has changed her mind? Well, it would be her to say those words as she was the manager, not Ryn, and would be the person who received the scold from the man. Mei Li's body shook at the thought of receivinv harsh words from Jeremy. She did not dare.

”It's okay. He's almost here,” Ryn replied. And then, her phone rang.

Both women looked at the ringing phone which Ryn placed on the table.

Before Ryn could answer, the same waiter interrupted by sending Ryn her order; a glass of plain waiter. Mei Li, on the other hand, did not order anything. She planned to eat the yogurt in her fridge if she got hungry in the middle of the night.

Ryn took the phone and answered it.

”Hello.”

”My love, I have arrived. Where are you?” Jeremy announced eagerly.

Ryn licked her dry lips as she looked at Mei Li. Her manager nodded her head.

”I'm waiting in the room,” Ryn told him the name of the room before ended the call. She put the phone back onto the table and looked at her manager.

”He's here.”
