Chapter 423 - He would trust her more (2/2)

”I'm sorry, boss. It's all my fault,” Jacob knew it was his own mistake for his inability to stop Miss An. He couldn't just hold her from walking, right?

”Do not let this happens again. And, for the next meeting, I don't want to see her. Ask for someone else or it's a direct no,” Jeremy warned coldly. He threw the proposal to Jacob. ”Deal with it.”

”Yes, boss.” Jacob caught the file and nodded his head.

”Get out,” Jeremy waved his hand.

Jeremy shook his head when his assistant left the room. He could not believe this happened. Jacob has been with him for years but Jacob still could make this stupid mistake?

He took another file to read. Just one last file before he could leave. That woman actually disturbed his plan but he could not just ignore his plan to woo Ryn. He did not want her to think that he was just bluffing when he said he would woo her.

He would woo her as if this was the first time they were seeing each other and fell in love.

Ryn bent down to adjust the ties of her heels. Then, she straightened and smiled as the FM signaled her to move.

She followed behind another model, doing her best walk on the runway. She showed the dress wrapping her body to the best, paused at the end of the runway to pose for the cameramen. Then, she turned around and walked back to the base of the runway, to the backstage to quickly change into another outfit.

It was close to 9.00 pm before she was done with her work. She quickly changed into her black sweatshirt and jeans. She did not touch her hair. It was too troublesome to wash her hair and clean her face in the ladies' room.

She checked the time and sighed. She was beyond exhausted despite she spent hours sleeping this morning.

A car stopped in front of her and she narrowed her eyes.

”Hello, beautiful. Alone?”

”Is that the best you can say?”

He laughed. He quickly went to the passenger side to open the door for her. ”Give me a break. I haven't done this before.”

She went into the car with a snort.

He helped clasped the seatbelt for her and went to the driver's side and put on his own seatbelt.

”Are you tired?” he asked.

”Hmm...”

”Just sleep. I'll send you home.”

She yawned loudly for the answer. She closed her eyes sleepily and proceed to sleep. At least she could steal some winks on the way.

He smiled seeing her putting down her 'wall' right now. Of course, he understood it did not mean that they could forget what happened and acted like nothing happened, carry on being lovey-dopey. He still needed to woo her.

He glanced at the back, where a bouquet of red roses was resting beside the box of chocolate cake and a box of steaks he ordered from a restaurant. He planned to reheat the steak and ate with her for supper. He already chose a bottle of red wine from his collection to accompany the supper. For music, he planned to play a slow romantic piano playing he actually composed for her.

But once he saw how exhausted she was, he knew he needed to replan everything back. She would eat, he had no doubt of it, but he might need to scrap the romantic idea.

Oh well, he still could do the romantic meal when she was wide awake and ready to appreciate his romantic technique.

He drove the car carefully. As she was already drifted into the la-la land, he would not want anything to disturb her sleep. Even though it was quiet, his mind was busy thinking of the next step of his wooing plan. He must win her affection and love before they got engaged officially. He would not want her to feel forced when she learned of their engagement.

Since the time he knew he was in love with her when they were still students, he decided that she would be the first and the last. Even when he became a singer and so popular among girls, nothing interests him. Of course, so many beautiful girls and women tried to win his heart but his heart only belonged to her. But this love, he must admit, made him a bit suspicious of any man he did not know who looked at Ryn weirdly. He got so upset to see her touching other men in magazines and when he heard someone said she's close to another man, he could not control his jealousy anymore. Hence, the reason behind their first break-up.

This time around, he decided to control his emotion. He would trust her more. He should trust her more.
