Chapter 481 - His plan failed... again. (2/2)

The waiter told himself that the woman was ordering for the three of them, but, once she was done, another woman started to order what she wanted. And then, the man ordered.

The waiter gulped but managed to keep his professional smile. He gave them a nod and went to hand the order to the kitchen. He was still a bit shocked and too much to be exactly to share it with his colleagues. He just froze but his eyes kept blinking.

Mei Li did not look around even though she wanted to. Her phone kept ringing with messages. She was kept busy replying to messages. Luckily none of them called her to discuss jobs.

Ryn looked at her blinking phone and sighed. Without looking at the name, she knew who was it. Couldn't he give her some time to breathe?

Harry watched at the expression on her face and his heart almost stopped beating. His hands gripped underneath the table but he managed to control his smile.

Why couldn't that man leave her alone? his heart muttered. He wished that the man could just disappear so Ryn would not be disturbed by that man ever again.

His eyes gleamed once but none of them noticed it. He closed back his eyes and took a deep breath to calm down.

”Excuse me,” Ryn finally stood up and went to another side to answer the call. Jeremy would not give up calling until she answered it.

”Hello.”

”Ryn, my love, where are you?” he asked worriedly.

”I'm having dinner with them. Why?”

”I'm at the studio and it's empty,” he said sadly. He thought he wanted to give her a surprise and then bring her to a candlelight dinner. In the end, he was the one who received the surprise.

”You should tell me first you want to pick me up, ” she pointed out dryly. She was too hungry to coax him and kept thinking of ending the call quickly so she could go back to the table to have her dinner.

”Which restaurant you are in right now? I'll go to you?” he did not give up. He wanted to go to her. After dinner, he would lure her to return to his place. It did not feel good when he could not sleep cuddling with her the whole night.

”I don't want to trouble you. Besides, Mei Li will send me home once we're done,” Ryn replied. Her eyes kept glancing toward the table, a bit worried when she saw it was still empty. Where is the food?

”My love, why do I feel like you're avoiding me? Have I done something wrong... again?” he asked in hurt. Why did he feel like their relationship was not getting closer but further? She already accepted him as her boyfriend but there was no improvement. She always said that she was busy with her work, but he knew for Mika's wedding, she took fewer jobs to free her time for the preparation. So, shouldn't that free time be allocated to him as her boyfriend as well?

Ryn sighed. She was still unused to this needy side of Jeremy. It made her feel... suffocated.

”You did nothing wrong. I am with the others having dinner. Do you need to join us?” she asked coldly. She had no mood to accommodate his childish behavior. She was too hungry to care about his feeling.

He was hurt by her words. He knew she was getting impatient and pissed with him. But he could not control himself. He loved her and did not want her to go to another man.

”My love... I...”

”My food is here. I'll call you once I'm home. Bye, ” again she ended the call without waiting for his reply. Her eyes followed the same waiter who took her order and now was pushing a trolley of food. Her eyes sparkled.

Finally. Her food was finally here. She could finally eat. Thank God.

Jeremy looked at his phone, heartbroken. She ended the call without saying any loving word. And he... He did not manage to make her agree to meet him tonight. The only promise she made was to call him. Not meeting him face to face but to converse via a phone call.

His plan failed... again.
