Chapter 501 - Did the two of them fight again? (1/2)
It was late at night. Ryn sat on the balcony staring at the sky wordlessly. Her long arms hugged her knees tightly as she spent outside the cold open air for more than two hours.
Although she was hungry before the unexpected argument with him actually killed her appetite. She did not have any mood to eat anything. Two hours after he left, she pulled herself to her feet and walked to the balcony, bringing along her hurting heart and sat there.
It was a quiet night. Compared to her previous apartment, in here, it was more peaceful and serene.
But it could not ease the pain in her heart.
The clock just hit a minute after midnight. She finally rubbed her face in frustration. She looked around and let out a sigh. Her hands unconsciously rubbed her arms to warm up her body… and her heart.
The sliding door glided smoothly as she closed it tightly. It was getting late and she should sleep now. Tomorrow she still has a lot of things to do.
Maybe a short bath could make her feel better?
She took off her clothes as she walked to the bathroom. As she was living alone, she did not mind being n_a_k_e_d in the house.
She paused at the drawer in front of the bathroom. She pulled the top part and stared at the colourful bath bombs. It was a housewarming gift by Mika. She gave it last time but Ryn did not have the chance to use it even once. She chose one with the lavender and walked into the bathroom with one hand rolling the round ball on the other palm.
She put the ball on the counter and looked around the bathroom. For this room, she actually waited for several more months for the constructor to finish renovating the house. She sighed. She liked this house so much, even though it did feel like she was spending the time in the house having an argument with Jeremy.
She placed her hands on the counter and closed her eyes as she took a deep breath to calm down.
This was her heaven and nothing could make her feel nervous nor stressed in here. And regardless of what happened between Jeremy and her, she would not move again. Not anymore.
She snapped from her thought when she noticed the water level in the bathtub has reached where she wanted. She quickly unwrapped the bath bomb and put it into the tub. She leaned down and stared as the bath bomb revealed its magic.
She dipped herself into the water once the salt ball dissolved and let out a sigh. She adjusted her position and laid her arms on the edge of the tub. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Calm down. Just calm down.
Nothing went wrong today. It was all just a dream. Just a bad dream.
The next day…
Jeremy sat up with a groan. He rubbed his eyes as his mind remembered back what happened yesterday.
Yesterday was a disaster.
He g_r_o_a_n_e_d again.
Was he too much yesterday? He finally noticed she looked so puzzled when he accused her. But he was too angry at that time to notice anything. He was so angry for being locked out again and again until he did not take a step back to look at her reaction and the situation.
He rubbed his face in frustration.
What had he done? Had he ruined everything?
As he was fretting over it, his phone rang. Without thinking, he quickly reached for the black gadget and looked at the screen eagerly. Maybe it was Ryn who was calling to tell him it was alright and their relationship was still good.
But to his disappointment, it was his little sister's fiancé, Jason.
”Hello.”
”Hello, have you awakened?” Jason asked hurriedly.
