Chapter 532 - You didnt tell him? (2/2)

”I... forgot?” Ryn shrugged. She did forget about it. Maybe she was still sleepy. She only remembered to tell her parents and then... Mika. Really, Jeremy's name slipped out her mind yesterday although he was her boyfriend.

Just say she was still trying to remember and get used to having a boyfriend. Two years of struggle to forget about the pain really made her forget about the feeling of sharing everything with someone she called a boyfriend.

Mika threw her head back and laughed loudly. She even fell down on the bed, holding her stomach as she laughed and laughed and laughed. She really liked this.

Ryn did not call out to her for being 'evil' toward her own brother. Instead, Ryn jumped to her feet and went to the bathroom. She wanted to have a quick shower before they checked out and looked for a place to have their dinner.

Even when she was done with her shower, Mika was still laughing on the bed. Ryn shook her head and put her hair into a messy bun. Then, she went to get the bottle of water which was provided by the hotel and drank it slowly.

”Do you want to have a shower first or we can check out now?” Ryn asked after she wet her throat.

Mika finally managed to stop laughing. She jumped to her feet and went to grab the second bottle of water. She drank half of it before she looked at her best friend.

”We can leave now,” she said. She had already taken a shower before the nap so she did not find it weird if they just checked out straight away.

Both went down to the lobby and toward the counter. Mika stood beside Ryn as her best friend handed the key to the receptionist. Then, they walked together to the car.

”So, where are we going now?” Mika asked as she pulled on the safety belt. She watched as Ryn did the same and then started the engine.

”Find another place to have dinner?” Ryn suggested.

”After that?”

”I... I'll send you home?” Ryn gave a puzzled look at Mika. Wouldn't she want to go home? She thought Mika was missing Jason desperately. Wouldn't this best friend of hers want to spend the night with her fiance?

”Ryn~” Mika whɨnėd, giving a hurt look at her best friend. Her eyes even, dramatically, gathered with tears, any second to drop.

”What?”

”Do you hate me?”

Ryn almost choked at the accusation. How did it end up to this topic? What was wrong with that genius brain of Mika? Has, after being engaged and soon to be married, Mika's brain has turned all mushy?

”Why... How... What...?” Ryn sputtered. She really had no idea where that come from. Seriously, Mika, why would you think that way?

”You don't want to spend time with me anymore?” Mika asked sadly.

”Mika,” Ryn rubbed her temple with one hand. She swore whenever Mika was this weird, she was under the stress of trying to make sense of where this insecurity came from. It was not as if she dumped Mika heartlessly. She was going to send Mika home after they spent so much time together. If Mika wanted, they could meet back tomorrow.

”Am I...”

”Mika, it's not that I hate you or hate being with you. I'm going to send you home after dinner because I want you to rest. Your wedding is getting nearer and we cannot risk the chance of anything bad happens. Besides, I bet you purposedly left your medicine at home, didn't you?”

Mika was quiet. She chewed her lower lip and looked down guiltily. She did 'forget' to bring her medicine along because she knew she did not need them. She was with Ryn and her best friend was her best medicine. Besides, she really hated being dependent on the pills in order to stop this bad feeling. She hated the fact that she had to eat them in order to stay normal. She was not sick. She was just... missing Ryn too much and it felt like her life has no more meaning without Ryn.

But now, Ryn has come back to her and she would never let Ryn leave her again... ever again.
