Chapter 548 - No pajama party for you two (1/2)

Ryn and Mika watched as the men went to retrieve their luggage. Mika sighed happily to see her husband looking so handsome especially when he approached them. She still could not believe that the man now belonged to her. Her alone.

Ryn rubbed her itchy nose. They spent hours on the flight and finally reached the beautiful island. Prior to the journey, Ryn changed into a pair of black jeans and a white off-shoulder blouse. She did not put on any make-up at all, just some sunscreen to protect her from the sun.

Mika also did not put on any make-up except for sunscreen and a little bit of strawberry lip balm. She went to cling to her husband and was rewarded with a kiss.

”Anyone is picking us up?” Ryn asked when Jeremy approached her.

”Yes. He's waiting outside,” Jeremy replied. He took out his phone and showed the conversation with Ryn. He kept back his phone into the back pocket of his pants and pushed the trolley toward the exit.

Mika and Jason already went ahead of them so Jeremy and Ryn just followed behind the newlyweds.

”We will eat after we've checked in,” Jeremy told his girlfriend. He noticed she did not ask for food during the journey and even when the stewardess delivered them their meal, she did not eat at all. He also noticed she looked so exhausted, she bȧrėly could open her eyes along the journey.

Was she sick or feeling uncomfortable anywhere?

”Hmm...” she nodded. Although there was some food provided for the passenger, somehow she did not have any appetite to even taste it. She rubbed her nape, still feeling so exhausted. She guessed she was having post jetlag or something. At least she did not suffer from it before and during the wedding but after it. It seemed like her body knew that she needed all the strength during the wedding and could let loose after everything was done.

He smiled as he rubbed her back affectionately. He continued pushing the trolley following the newlyweds.

”I guess the paparazzi haven't given up trailing over you,” Ryn murmured as she took out her sunglasses and put them on once she noticed a familiar suspicious man. She narrowed her eyes and saw another man who was trying so hard to blend in with other tourists but she could swear she saw a camera in his hand focussing on them.

”Do you want us to lure them again?” she asked tiredly.

Jeremy looked at the couple in front of him and smiled grimly. Both Jason and Mika haven't noticed those men yet. He took out his phone and quickly tapped the screen. He sent it to Jason before he immediately changed the direction. Ryn, without asking another question, followed him.

The men,  upon seeing their targets have changed direction, quickly dropped their acting and followed the couple. Who cared about the newlyweds even though they were famous in business? The Jeremy-Catherine couple was what they were asking to take photos for.

Jeremy and Ryn spent almost half an hour just sitting at Starbucks and sipping hot tea. Ryn was still feeling uncomfortable so Jeremy bought them a cup of tea each.

”I wonder how many photos of us sipping tea they took,” Ryn murmured as she sipped her tea after he brought their drink to the table. She refused to choose any dessert or meal at the branded coffee house. Her stomach was still giving her headaches.

”If you're still not well, we'll go see the doctor,” he said with a frown when he saw her trying not to rub her stomach. She was aware of the paparazzi so did not want to create unnecessarily rumour about them.

”I think just a few hours of a nap could make me feel better,” she replied. She refused to go see the doctor, especially with the paparazzi hot on their heels.

He sighed. He rubbed her small head before going to the counter. He would not force her when she was in her stubborn mode.

Jeremy looked at his phone when a message came in. Apparently Mika and Jason already met the man in charge to pick them up and were waiting for them outside. Jeremy typed quickly, asking them to leave first and then came to pick Ryn and him up.

They spent their time there, giving the paparazzi time of their life of taking a lot of photos. Ryn wondered what was so interesting about the pictures of them having coffee or tea.

”One last photo for them,” Jeremy suddenly murmured when another message came in. Without warning, he leaned forward and pulled Ryn toward him as he kissed the top of her head.

”J,” she gasped but kept the smile on her face. Has he lost his mind?

He was grinning when he pulled back. He nodded at her drink, ”Do you still want it? Our ride has arrived.”
