48 My First Lesson (1/2)
The rest of the feast went by without any more major disturbances. There were a few speeches and some toasts for various things and people. At one point I got odd stares from quite a few people. Though some of them were more of curiosity than anything else. Once the feast ended, I was a first year student given a map. Taking a quick look at it I realised it was blank. After putting a bit of my blood on it which apparently binded it to me. It showed all of the places I had been so far.
After looking at that for a few minutes, I headed back to the house I was staying in. As I arrived inside the house, I noticed that there were a few people standing outside of it. Five people to be exact. All of them had golden eyes like me and seemed close b but yet there was a nervous energy between all of them. Seeing me coming they all smiled slightly.
I stopped around four metres away from them, in case they tried something, so this way I would be able to react and defend myself.
The one who stood closest to me and also seemed like the oldest of the five stepped forward.
”We all represent the great clans, all five of them. All we would like to know is which of the clans are you from and why we were not told about you coming and why are you here? Not with the rest of us from the clans.” He said it like it was a matter of fact and that he was right.
'So these are the great clans huh. This lot just seems like stuck up pricks.'
”Could you all please, leave me alone. I am not one of you a lot. I am just someone whose family was forgotten. Now leave me alone.” As I said this, I strood past them and opened then slammed my door in their faces.
I could hear them outside talking to each other, I couldn't make out everything that they said but what I could hear was, ”How could he be one of the forgotten, his potential is higher than anyone from the clans, except for the main branches, but then not even some of them…..his sword as…...we need to find out more.”
After talking for a few minutes they all left. After making sure that they had all gone, I got unchanged and jumped into bed, looking forward to what the sunrise would bring.
The next morning I got up early and headed to where the food hall was meant to be. The map took some getting used to though. I took the wrong path a couple of times. After I arrived it turned out that I was one of the only people there. Shrugging my shoulders and
thinking nothing of it, I joined the small que and quickly got some food to eat.
Sitting down in a corner, where I wouldn't be easily noticed.. I ate my food and watched as more and more people slowly turned up, the last few were running though. The one in the front yelled as soon as he got into the hall, ”They are coming, everyone scatters, get out of here.”
