9 Chapter 8 Fairy tail library (1/2)
Makarov walked the two towards the library of the guild and stopped in front of the door. The door of the library didn't have any key or lock.
It was a wooden door with various runic symbols inscribed on it. There were certain black spaces on the door.
Makarov filled the blank as well as used certain formula spell to initiate the opening of the door.
The door glowed slightly with the runic symbols circling the door once and it was opened.
Makarov started to take his first step into the library but stopped and turned his head around to look at Ardent.
Although the two didn't say anything directly to one another, their gaze said much.
Ardent understood what that looks meant, sighed and nodded as if agreeing to some thing.
The library of any guild is a sacred place because it contains the source which can increase the power of the guild. These places are generally restricted areas for non guild members, but Makarov was willing to bend the rules a bit for his grandson, Daven.
But Ardent wasn't allowed. He is a Rune Knight and he may see something which could be related to guilds security and safety. He may willingly or unwilling spread some news detrimental to the guild and so he cannot be allowed.
A young boy wasn'tthat that much of a threat to the guild as he could be, especially with the type of relation Magic Council have with the Fairy Tail guild.
Ardent then put his hands on Daven's shoulders and said,” Daven, I have to head back. Your mother requires my help especially now in her current situation.
You will stay with Grandpa Makarov and Laxus for a few weeks until you have mastered the control of your newly learned magic.
We don't want you to cause problem for your mother in case you lose control, do we?” Ardent asked gently.
Daven just shook his head.
Ardent rubbed his hair in affection and said,”Soon your new sibling will be arriving, so train hard and complete this step soon so you could return home early and meet him it her.” He tried to motivate him.
Then he turned to look at Makarov and said,” Take care of him, Master Makarov.”
” I will.” And then Ardent left the guild and most probably through the shadow travel reached his house in the Meteor Town .
Daven was sad that his father had left so soon and he could be away from his family for the first time.
His immature part of mind was sad and felt like crying because he didn't have his parents with him but the mature part encouraged him to work hard and learn his magic as soon as possible to return home.
” Come now, Daven we have to get you started on magic or if you aren't feeling well then we may as well start tomorrow when you are feeling better. ” Makarov tried to uplift the spirit and inspire him to head forth.
It did the trick and frightened by the fact that it may really happen he dashed into the library with Makarov following behind him softly.
Daven saw that the library composed of a number of bookshelves at the center and some about four on the side of the room. There was no window in the room except for the ventilation near the ceiling.
On the other sides there were some big tables with six chairs on each table to allow the browser of the library to read.
The bookcase in the middle of the room were arranged in the 5*4 rows and columns arrangement.
Daven went through the book title of the books in the middle shelf but only those whom he could reach at his current age and then went to the other seemingly attractive magic.
Daven had disappeared in the middle bookcase. When Makarov arrived he didn't see Daven, but understood he might be seduced by the magic books and tried to see through them.
When he didn't find Daven, he said loudly enough for the voice to spread the library,” Daven, if you don't appear in front of me now I won't teach you today.”
As soon as Daven heard this, he was in front of Makarov.
