”Hiss Hiss!”

The Green Destiny Sword was an artifact, and with the assistance of the essence force, it became extremely sharp. After suffering from severe damage done by Jiang Yi, the tentacled monster was unable to attack as it was still regenerating. The constant shimmering of the Green Destiny Sword swiftly took away huge pieces of flesh from the tentacled monster.

The pearl!

Jiang Yi's eyes were burning passionately as he looked at the green pearl that was as huge as a dragon's eye. He quickly shaved off the surrounding flesh in a flash and used his right hand as a claw to grasp the pearl.

Something isn't right!

The instant when Jiang Yi nearly grasped the pearl, he felt his life was in peril. With a cold glare, he forcefully restrained his intense desire and retreated without any hesitation.

”Boom!”

The body of the monster suddenly exploded. That explosion was much more superior to Jiang Yi's Explosion Essence Palm. It was strong enough to blast Jiang Yi's body away, shattering most of his clothing and turning some parts of his body into a bloody mess. Fortunately, he was able to close his legs in time to protect his private part.

”Goddammit!”

Jiang Yi struggled up and violently vomited a mouthful of blood. It was lucky that he chose to retreat instead of seizing the green pearl during the most endangered moment. If not, he could have died because of the explosion or be crippled by the severe injuries at least.

”Indeed a great item! Such a horrifying explosion, and it still didn't break apart.”

Jiang Yi looked towards a corner and was delighted to see the green pearl still emitting a pale green glow. He sat up with difficulty and retrieved an earth-tier recuperation elixir to consume. He temporarily ignored the green pearl and focused on his recuperation.

After he released his full force Exploding Essence Palm, his body was already frail. But he had to forcefully push himself to attack and still got injured by the explosion. His body was now in the weakest state, and if he didn't recuperate now, even a martial artist at the third stage of the Cast Tripod Realm could easily kill him.

One hour later, the earth-tier recuperation elixir was completely absorbed, Jiang Yi took out another one to consume again. His body condition was greatly recovered, and those wounds were all closed now. His stamina and essence force was also replenished.

After another hour, Jiang Yi finally let out a breath and took out another robe to wear, before heading over to the green pearl.

”What kind of pearl is this?”

Once he got hold of the pearl, it felt abnormally soothing. Jiang Yi took a detailed look at the pearl and found nothing special. After analyzing it for a moment, he had an idea to use his essence force to shroud the green pearl.

The green pearl was unresponsive. Jiang Yi was confused as he looked left and right. He had tried everything—even putting it inside his mouth, but the pearl didn't have any reaction.

”This isn't right. The magical powers of the tentacled monster should have been related to this pearl, right? And this pearl didn't even suffer from any damage after experiencing the brutal explosion; it must be an artifact…”

Jiang Yi mumbled in frustration. He originally thought he had gotten hold of a priceless artifact, but it seemed to be useless now.

After analyzing it for 15 minutes, Jiang Yi confirmed that this pearl was indeed useless. He didn't have sufficient time to continue analyzing; hence, he threw it in his bag and began to search his surroundings. His eyes lit up as he saw a token at the corner, and it seemed to be gold in color.

He strode with big steps to pick it up, and it was indeed the rare gold-colored token from the Mt. Spirit Beast College. He let out a breath of relief after knowing that the risk he took didn't disappoint him. It proved that the gold tokens were indeed placed inside the formidable demonic beasts.

”Oh, that's right!”

Jiang Yi prepared to leave the gorge but suddenly recalled something. Weren't there four corpses? Did they have any tokens in possession?

Bearing the nauseating stench of blood, Jiang Yi began to search the corpses. He soon found their belongings and was extremely elated when he opened them up. These four participants seemed to be quite competent. They had more than 20 tokens, and there was actually one gold token among it!

”I just need one more.”

Jiang Yi's expression was filled with delight as he kept the tokens as well as those elixirs and purple gold. He didn't dare to take their weapons though—just in case others misunderstood him as a murderer.
