Chapter 16 - Reality (3) (1/2)
Winter Branch?
It’s really Winter Branch?
The great god Winter Branch that is recognised by the whole forum?!
Cheng Zhi Chu was so shocked that his first reaction was to check if there was anything wrong with his eyes or if it was just a hallucination. After all, how could a legendary god-level player reply to his post?!
What’s more, it has been two years since Winter Branch last posted and many people even guessed he had probably died but how can it be so coincidental that the return of the great god after two years was just because he wanted to reply to a newcomer’s post…….
In an instant, Cheng Zhi Chu convinced himself that he had seen wrong but at the same time his phone started to vibrate madly. With the non-stop notifications about new replies to his forum post, his phone was about to crash from overload.
N-no way?
Cheng Zhi Chu was stunned speechless for a few seconds. When he recovered, the first thing that left his mouth was “Fuck” before he quickly restarted the phone and then reopening his forum as fast as he could. The moment his post appeared, likes of “???” appeared before his eyes and it was as if the ID on the 2nd Floor was glowing———
Winter Branch
“Ahhh——–!!”
“Bang!”
After screaming out with excitement, this time Cheng Zhi Chu really fell off his bed.
Not caring about getting up, he continued to lay on the ground like an inverted green onion. He was so excited that his face was flushed, and his palms were covered in sweat. He gripped tightly onto the phone and stared engrossedly at the simple words on the screen.
That’s right, it really is Winter Branch! He has appeared! After a two-year hiatus from the forum, he had actually appeared and replied to his post!!
Cheng Zhi Chu was so excited that his fingers shook. Even if the time that he had known about Winter Branch is short, he still clearly knew about how amazing the other party is. Of course, it wouldn’t be to the extent that he worshipped him. Instead it was more like a “an amazing person actually talked to me” type of surprise and excitement.
The number of replies to the post continued to increase exponentially. Within just two or three minutes, the number of posts had already reached three or four hundred. This would also mean that Cheng Zhi Chu had immediately earned nearly 400 survival points.
Of course, these people didn’t come to read his guide. They were simply shocked by Winter Branch’s appearance and all rushed in to see the great god.
[15th Floor: ????]
[85th Floor: Ah? Real person?? Alive??]
[146th Floor: Did I just encounter a ghost?]
[177th Floor: Fu……..ck………..]
[283rd Floor: Ahhhhhhh It’s really Winter god! Great god, I missed youuuuu…….]
Cheng Zhi Chu felt extremely elated. He scanned through these replies and saw that most of them were expressing surprise at Winter Branch’s sudden appearance. A small number of them asked why Winter Branch would disappear for two whole years without leaving behind any news.
Of course, a very, very small amount of people sighed in envy and commented that the poster has great luck to be able to get a reply from the great master.
In fact, Cheng Zhi Chu himself also wanted to know why. Just now, Winter Branch had said that the instance was interesting but what was he referring to? He didn’t think that the guide that he had written was anything special.
After debating for a few seconds, Cheng Zhi Chu decided to ask and satisfy his curiosity. Although Winter Branch didn’t speak up after that post of his and he probably wouldn’t reply, there was still a chance, so he posted his response with a hint of expectation.
[Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice replied to Winter Branch: Winter God, hello! I didn’t expect the great god to reply to my post, so I am very happy! I just wanted to ask, what do you mean by ‘interesting’? Is there something special about this instance?]
Cheng Zhi Chu sent the reply out with some nervousness but after more than ten minutes, Winter Branch didn’t reply. The number of people who came in to see the great god however continued to rise and his survival points had exceeded 1000 at this point.
Seeing this, Cheng Zhi Chu decided not to worry about the post and proceeded to spend 700 points to upgrade his text interpretation skill to the second level. He then went to the marketplace to take a look at the topography interpretation skill that Lu Wenjing possessed that would allow him to be able to interpret the terrain. After accumulating enough survival points, he intended on buying this skill.
Uh……But shouldn’t he give Bai Yi some of the survival points? After all, Bai Yi had saved him several times and he even over exerted himself to kill Joshua at the end. If he didn’t tell him about this, it didn’t seem right.
Thinking this, Cheng Zhi Chu suddenly felt a little bad. He sent Bai Yi a message telling him that he had posted a strategy guide and would earn some survival points.
Although the forum wouldn’t allow direct transfer of survival points, he could at least help Bai Yi buy something that he wanted and then sell it to him at a very low price.
“Knock knock!”
At this moment, a couple of quick knocks were heard coming from his bedroom door. Cheng Zhi Chu made a sound of acknowledgement and a beautiful and pure looking young girl pushed open the door with big sparkling eyes. In her hands she held a big bag and she rushed over to his side swaying his arm around while acting spoiled.
“Brother, if you aren’t busy can you help me with something?”
“Hm? With what?”
Cheng Zhi Chu placed down his phone and asked very casually. It didn’t take long for him to react to her request. With a look of vigilance, he looked at her: “Cheng Ling Ling, tell me now. What is it that you want me to help you with? Don’t tell me you did something bad and you want me to take the blame for you?”
“Jeez, how can that be. Don’t doubt me so much. I’ve been pretty good lately.”
The girl stuck out her tongue and then said: “I just want to ask you to help take a photo for me. You should know that I really like Ji Yun Xiao. Recently, they’re running an official event. By just wearing Xiao Xiao’s fan club clothes or holding his photo and posting it up onto the fan site, you could have the chance to be selected to be the audience to a variety show that he would be starring in…….”
The more she talked, the more excited she became. She patted Cheng Zhi Chu’s bed: “I! Really! Really, really, really want to be selected! If I could see Xiao Xiao up close in reality, I would be able to die without regrets!! So brother, I beg you. Please help take photos for me!!”
“That’s fine, I can help you take them. Should I use my phone or your phone?”
Cheng Zhi Chu nodded and didn’t think much of it. He had always known that Cheng Ling Ling especially liked Ji Yin Xiao. She had started following him ever since his debut and since she really likes him, helping her take photos was nothing.
Two years ago, Ji Yun Xiao had debuted as an idol and had become famous overnight in China. Now he is one of the most popular, top tiered pop singers. Any news about him would be overwhelming and no matter where you went you would see advertisements with his face on it or hear his song playing……Of course, when Ji Yun Xiao was at his peak, he also had a lot of haters.
He had also watched Ji Yun Xiao’s debut MV before and would agree that it was very attractive. Before the camera, the gorgeous idol wore a heavy black uniform that perfectly emphasised his body line and brought along with it both temptation and seductiveness.
His eyes were sharp and handsome and, as the prelude started, he slowly turned his head around to stare coldly at the screen. Lifting his slender hands covered in black gloves, he made a gun gesture. At the same time, the music suddenly reaches its’ climax causing peoples hearts to reverberate along.
