Chapter 46 - I cant hurt her. (1/2)

Suddenly a notification came, results were out. They both opened their respective laptops and checked each other's results. Alice checked Feng Jianyu's result and he checked Alice's result.

”Voila!”, He exclaimed suddenly. ”You not only cleared the exam but you got the highest score of 99.9%”. Saying this he turned his head towards Alice.

Alice was quietly staring at her laptop with a serious expression.

He understood that he failed to clear the exam. But there was not a single ounce of sadness on his face, he was celebrating for Alice. ”It's Ok if I can't clear it… We should celebrate your victory… Come-on cheer up”, He said with a big smile.

”Who said you didn't clear? You have cleared this round too… I am so happy”. She pulled him to see her laptop, ”See! You scored 80% marks… we both are going to the next round…. yiipppiieeeeeeee”.

He smiled and patted her head, ”Yes we are”.

Second round was a Hacking round. They were given a software to hack in minimum time. Top 5% of participants will go for the final round.

Alice took only 3 minutes to hack the software, while Feng Jianyu took 15 minutes to hack it.

When the results came, Alice was the topper once again. Nobody was able to beat her time, however, Feng Jianyu lost this round by 30 seconds. The last participant to clear this round was able to hack the software within 14 minutes and 30 seconds.

They both came back to the resort together. But Alice was heartbroken; she did not say even a single word after hearing the result. Feng Jianyu looked at her and sighed, ”It's ok! I am not sad”.

She didn't say anything and kept quiet.

It was raining heavily since morning, he took her to the garden and makes her sit under the canopy, ”Listen to me! It doesn't matter anymore whether I cleared the exam or not. Even if I have cleared it, I would not be able to sit for the third round”.

She looked at him surprisingly, ”What do you mean?”

He looked at her innocent face, but find himself unable to continue his acting. He opened his mouth to say something but could not come up with words, 'Fuck these tests! I can't hurt her'.

”Tell me! What are you hiding from me?”, She looked at him worriedly.”If you are in any problem, then share it”, putting her right hand on his shoulder she said.

Feng Jianyu didn't say anything and turned his face away from her. ”It's nothing important. Go back to your room”, He sternly said and got up to leave.

She immediately got up from her seat and held his hand, ”You are behaving like this because you are worried about your company?”
