Xiu Mei stopped in her track and sat down on the adjacent couch. Resting her left elbow on the armrest, supporting her chin with her palm she leaned her body towards him.

Feng Jianyu's heart skipped a beat for a moment when he finds her doing something unexpected. He smells the orange citrus fragrance of her shower gel. Her long hair flowing on her back like a waterfall….Wearing an ankle-length yellow gown, tied at her slender waist with a ribbon, she was looking like a ray of bright sunshine entered inside the room…

Snapping her fingers at him she answered, ”Arguing with a narcissist is like banging your head in the wall. Everything you say, can and will be used against you.”

Flicking her hair back, she got up from the couch and sat down at the other corner of the same couch.

He looked at her surprisingly, 'How come she's always ready to fight with me… Her battery is always recharged when it comes to arguing but she never raised a topic about what happened 7 years ago…'

She opened her laptop and started doing her work… But Aunt Mary's words kept on echoing in her mind, making her unable to concentrate on her work.

She sneaked a glance at him, 'Should I say thank you to him for taking care of them in my absence'.

'NO NO… Why should I say thank you? I didn't ask him to do this… He did it at his own accord…'

'What about him saving my life? He is right; he got hurt in the process of saving me…'

'But I didn't ask him to save my life… he should have let me die there…'

'No… I am not going to say Thank you'

'But Xiu Mei, it's just a thank you… You won't lose your respect by saying a simple thank you..'

She kept on oscillating between whether to say thank you or not….

'Come-on buck up…. Just say it and finish this matter here only…'

Feng Jianyu smirked noticing her restless behavior. He understood she is thinking about how to say thank you to him for saving her life.

”What? You want to say something?”, He asked nonchalantly.

Biting her lips she took a deep breath, ”CEO Feng I want to say...”

But before she could say anything to him, her phone rang. Looking at the caller name she frowned, ”Mr. X…”

”Mr. X?”, Feng Jianyu's body stiffed hearing his name.
